I currently have two other versions of this Lav.  This is a unique addition to those.  I will be using this on my iPhone since they did away with the headphone jack!  Works great for memo recording and also live streaming.  I will be using this for youtube uploads that require little to no editing so I can quickly plug in, record and upload with better audio.  The cord is a good length and I am loving it so far.  Whats also great is that this does not require a battery like my other wired units and there is a headphone jack if you need to monitor yourself!   [I received this product in exchange for my honest review.]

I used this hooked up to my iPhone 6+ in the past, but since I upgraded to the 7+ with no headphone jack I've been using the mic hooked up to an audio recorder for my DSLR video (the recorder has phantom power). I use the extension cable and rode adapter for standard 3.5mm input and it works great. The sound is as good as I'll need it to be for interviews. I'd only upgrade to a nicer mic if this one breaks.

I use this little device for my iPhone 7. I wasn't that bummed out about them getting rid of the headphone jack because I thought it was a smart move! You can still make and receive calls with the EarPods and I'm sure other headphones too, along with being able to control your music which is the biggest thing for me! xD I have one that was given as a gift, so I gave the one I bought to my boyfriend and he loves it too! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is essential for iPhone 7-8 users. It gives you the standard headphone jack and allows the lightening port accessable at the same time! It's compact and easily fits in my pouch with my charger. I recommend this product to anyone with a new iPhone and still wants to use their own headphones.
