I shoot video on a Canon 5D mark IV which does not have a very powerful preamp for the headphone jack. I was using a 25 year old pair of Sony headphones and could barely hear anything with the headphone volume cranked all the way up. I bought these after using a pair that belonged to a colleague. They do a great job of boosting the weak signal coming out of the camera. I also use them while editing video, plugged directly into the headphone jack of my iMac. I notice too with the iMac that I can keep the system volume much lower than I did with other headphones. I am not an audio professional, but these sound great to me and are what I would expect in this price range. My ears probably couldn't discern between these and a pair costing three or four hundred dollars. They are very comfortable. Another big selling point for me was the three different interchangeable cables that are included. The coiled phone cord type cable is great for location shooting, allowing you freedom to move around the camera without fear of tripping over or snagging a long cord. The other two cables give you options for studio use depending on how close you can sit to your equipment. It's also good knowing that a cable can be replaced if it is ever damaged.

I use this amp with the headphone output of an audio console. It did not have enough gain to get sufficient volume to hear over the live environment. With this amp, I can easily get enough volume to hear my record mix, as well any solo from the board I need. It can drive my headphones to their distortion level, so I know I can get the max volume, when I need it, from my monitoring headphones. I plugged it in, set the level, and effectively forgot about it, which is exactly what I wanted.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded to a new iPhone and tried plugging in my headphones, not realizing there is not a headphone jack port. I was very disappointed until I found this Charge Rockstar. I love that I can still listen to music with my plug in headphones. I also really like that I can charge my phone at the same time. I travel frequently, and this product is a lifesaver!

I've owned the Shure SE425 in-ear headphones and the SE535 for some time now. I love the clear and non-bass reproduction of the Shure SE425, on my iPhone 6s especially in conjunction with the In-Line Remote/Mic Cable. When paired with the Bluetooth 5.0 Communication Cable, the bass is much more pronounced, almost too much for me! The Shure SE535 headphones sound warmer, the frequency response may score better in tests, but in conjunction with my iPhone I prefer the SE425. However, things are different when pairing my Android phone with a DAC headphone amplifier: Here, the Shure SE535 headphones clearly show their strengths compared to the SE425. Without a DAC headphone amplifier, however, you can spare yourself the additional costs.

No longer will my Sony headphones fall off the stand, because this clamp headphone holder works perfectly for my live production monitoring needs.

Great for iPhone and iPad. I wish it had a headphone output.

The HAUC Active Stereo Headphone Control Box by Whirlwind fits the bill perfectly for studio headphone control. Easily mounted under the desk, it is a solid piece of gear. In my studio, I have several headphone locations branching off a multi-headphone amp. Using the HAUC, i am able to give each user a choice of 3.5 mm and 1/4 jacks, and full volume control. Installation was a breeze with four screws. At my news-talk table, I have daisy-chained three thanks to the dual jacks in the back, and each still has its own volume control. Well worth the money and highly-recommended.

Requests would be volume control on the headphones and better waterproofing.
