35mm is a very versatile focal length. That's one reason Apple chose it for the iPhone. The color, contrast, depth-of-field and sharpness of Canon's new lens are absolutely incredible!! The images have a look and pop that's almost 3D. It's solid, well built and so nice it is to work with!! The focus ring feels well dampened but doesn't have a really long throw. I haven't used it for video much but manually focusing was very easy. It's weather sealed which helped when I was getting sprayed shooting waterfalls. In short this is an amazing lens!! It's expensive... but worth it!! 5 |
