When I upgraded to my iphone 7, I had to use a dock to listen to music and charge at the same time. The dock did not work with a couole of the cases I tried, and I prefer to have my phone in the landscape position at night when going to sleep listening to tunes. Enter the Belkin Rockstar. There are some shoddy imitations, but Belkin works and I did not want to trust my iPhone power to an unknown. I have come to find that Belkin products are top quality- they just plain work! 5 |

I have had the iPhone dock, (CD200i) and it was great until the iPhone 4s became obsolete. The Bluetooth in this machine is a great option. We use this in a music classroom situation and the teacher loves it. 5 |

I have used the actual "dock in" docking stations for about a decade. Using best practices, I was always making sure my laptop was logged off so I didn't "hot dock" which was either a thing or it wasn't, depending on which IT professional I was speaking to. This thing is SO much simpler. It takes up about as much room as a CD case, and it was seriously plug & play right out of the box. I didn't have to download any drivers, and I had all the cords I needed. I do wonder why HP chooses to use the display port connectors, since they can be hard to find especially since many monitors have HDMI ports only. That would mean you have to buy an HDMI to DisplayPort cable, but I had them anyway so it's fine. 5 |
