Iphone Not Switching To Headphones

I use it to connect my wired headphones to my new iPhone. Works great!

Holds my iPhone securely with almost effortless vertical/horizontal orientation switching on the fly; also like the ability to mount on a cold shoe as well.

Even though it is plastic, it holds my iPhone 11 with case firmly. Switching from portrait to landscape orientation is easy.

I love these headphones. I use them with my laptop and phone often and switching is easy, if they've already been paired, just go to the Bluetooth settings on the device and select connect. Pairing is super easy. I love that I can use Google Assistant by long-tapping one of them. They are also super small when I'm video conferencing, so I've replaced my over-the-head headset. Controls are nice. A driver for Windows would be nice so that I can mute myself by tapping, but they are great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the headphone jack going away in phones and headphones switching to type c, this solves the issue of wanting to be able to listen to music and charge the phone at the same time. I won't use this often, but it serves a purpose. Most of the time I just use wireless charging at my desk, but this works on the go when I use portable charger at the same time. Good size and easy to use.

I have two sets of wired headphones that I need to keep switching between. Now that I have this Y cable, I can keep them both connected and just grab the set that I need. It may not seem like a big deal, but constantly switching the set that is connected to the headphone jack when you are holding an instrument quickly gets to be a pain. Best of all, this is a very well made unit that was well worth the $10 price tag.

This unit is very versatile for switching from 2 sources to one set of headphones, or from one source to a set of headphones or earphones or switching between computer headphones and speakers. It's small, compact and very portable so doesn't take up much space on the desk and is easy to transport. I use it to switch between a headphone amp/headphones combo and an amplifier and speakers using one source. there are no negatives about this handy device! It has so many applications it is indispensible!

If you have mic'd headphones, then this TRRS is useful for monitoring and recording on a lightning input iPhone.
