I play and record many instruments and need an external mic for my iPhone. I chose the Rode Video Mic Me for it's price and I'm finding it definitely improves the audio quality on my iPhone recordings. 5 |

the mic is terrific its easy to use and has a headphone jack to hear what the mic picks up and you can definitely hear the difference in quality its absolutely perfect if you need to record without outside interference and the mic cover from the wind absolutely helps amazingly i recommend this mic if you use your phone to record meetings, interviews,and it works well recording in a concert hall 5 |

I used this hooked up to my iPhone 6+ in the past, but since I upgraded to the 7+ with no headphone jack I've been using the mic hooked up to an audio recorder for my DSLR video (the recorder has phantom power). I use the extension cable and rode adapter for standard 3.5mm input and it works great. The sound is as good as I'll need it to be for interviews. I'd only upgrade to a nicer mic if this one breaks. 5 |
