The HAUC Active Stereo Headphone Control Box by Whirlwind fits the bill perfectly for studio headphone control. Easily mounted under the desk, it is a solid piece of gear. In my studio, I have several headphone locations branching off a multi-headphone amp. Using the HAUC, i am able to give each user a choice of 3.5 mm and 1/4 jacks, and full volume control. Installation was a breeze with four screws. At my news-talk table, I have daisy-chained three thanks to the dual jacks in the back, and each still has its own volume control. Using as an extension for my headphone, the quality seems very good. It is very long and its springy end reduce stress on my headphone side. The springy end has very good tension and won't easily get tangled like a telephone cord. Despite it is slightly thinner than a Lightning cable, the packaging also mentioned this is a shielded cable with 2 cores, should be good to maintain audio quality through its long length. 5 |

Love this thing. I use it for recording my podcast interviews when I have multiple guest. Love the fact that they can control their headphone volume, it takes up very little space and the fact that all of the adapters were included. Never heard of Polsen before HP and can't find this item anywhere else but I like. I plug it into the mic input of my microphone preamp and it works perfectly. 5 |
