Added a shock mount and I was done. Headphones are good. My other two headphones are now collecting dust. Going to grab another cable so I can keep one on my mic boom and use the other for remote recordings. Using USB now but looking at Audio Interface for XLR connectivity. 5 |

I guess this will come to no shock to anyone but Sony has done it again. I can't tell you how blowed away I am over all that they have changed to make this headphone better than anything on the market. Making these headphone lighter and adding that new chipset that made the N/C and sound better was the end to all debates about who was truly the best in the world for N/c headphones. The previous one caused me a lot of Migraines and dizziness because of it's clamping and overall weight but these are unlike anything I could have hope for. Thank you so much Sony for making the most complete and best N/C headphone in the world. The bass is the thumping without interfering with the highs and mids. The soundstage is the best I've heard for closed back headphones. I have been listening all sorts of headphones and earphones and these headphones have created the most detailed of all of them. I also love the call quality this time around vs the previous model. Finally I can talk on the phone without the other person complaining about the clarity. They even made Google assistant almost instant. 5 |

These headphones have incredible sound for electric drums. We don't even turn the Amp on anymore! 5 |

Use to track and playback my acoustic/electric basses, when recording. Also great for practicing while watching TV (go Warriors!) Seriously, the best part about these headphones is how light they are, how easy it is to hear other things around you when you need to, and the sound of the bass. Designed to be bass heavy so you can wear them loosely and still get a full sound. My favorite headphones of ALL TIME. Also, LIFETIME GUARANTEE IS FOR REAL. (the only problem is after a few years of falling asleep in front of the TV, you can strain the connection at the earpiece.) I've sent back two different pairs of them in the last TWENTY YEARS. (bought my first in 1996) Best price, in this case, is the best product. Buy them. You will not regret it... :-) 5 |

My son has been playing his electric guitar for about two years. Usually its plugged into his regular amp, which is loud. But there are times when we cant have the noise in the house, either due to homework, a phone call, or someone watching television or a movie in the other room. The VOX amPlug has solved the problem. He can play with the amPlug plugged into the guitar, and hooked up to his headphones. He hears the electric sound of the guitar through his headphones, while the only sound audible to the rest of us is the strumming of the strings, which is not loud enough to disturb the quiet activities going on. As far as the sound quality, I asked my son how he liked it after a couple of weeks of using it. He replied that it sounds good to him. (And the silence sounds good to me!) 5 |

These were a gift to my son, in order to allow him to play his electric guitar and listen to it through the headphones, rather than via the regular amp. He loves using the headphones, as they allow him to play the electric guitar at times when he would otherwise not be able to do so, if we need quiet in the house (such as when his siblings are doing homework). These are great quality at a very reasonable price. (Note, if you are thinking about using these with an electric guitar, you will need a device such as a VOX amPlug to plug into the guitar; the headphones then plug into the amPlug.) 5 |

I've been trying to find the right combination of headphones and headphone amplifier to use with my I Pod while riding my Harley. Getting past the loud exhaust is not easy. Last month I found a headphone amp built for bikes at electric avenues (amplirider) which had so much gain that my headphones couldn't handle it without distorting. Before I bought the porta-pro's I bought just about every name brand headphones there was. Gary at electric avenues recommended Koss Porta-Pro's and all I can say is WoW. Great bass and full range, they can handle my amp without distorting and Its the only over the head band that doesn't interfere with wearing a half helmet. If you ride these are the ones and if you don't, same thing. 5 |

These area awesome headphones. I use these for music playback and also for recording and listening to electric and acoustic guitar. Comfortable, excellent sound. The supplied cords work great and they fold into a nice package. I should have ordered 2 pairs ! 5 |

I have used Audio-Technica headphones in the past and have been very pleased with them, but these new M50X are stellar! I use them for critical listening, and also silent electric bass guitar practice. Fabulous Fidelity across the entire frequency response range. You can pay a lot more for something else if you'd like, but you won't get more. Highly Recommended! 5 |
