Is 24 Megapixels Enough For Landscape Photography

Great camera. I use this camera mostly for landscape, street photography and sometime sports. The 61 megapixels allow me to corp without losing sharpness. 10 FPS is pretty good for sports - I use this camera in conjunction with me A9ii when shooting games. I would highly recommend. Joe A. This is a terrific go-to lens for all my walkabout and landscape photography. The focal lengths from 24/105 cover a wide range of subject matter. Paired with the Canon EOS R5 camera it produces clean crisp sharp images throughout the focal length of the lens. It's much lighter than my old 5D IV. Love it

I've been a birds in flight photographer for 9 years, only shooting the occasional landscape, portrait or architecture shot. A couple of years ago I got a Nikon D750, my first full frame camera, and mounted a Sigma 24-105mm lens. It was a nice set up, but I wasn't all that impressed with the full frame experience. Then I got the Nikon Z 6 mirrorless with the Nikon 24-70mm lens. WOW~~What a different experience. I absolutely love the photos I'm getting with this package. I love the EVF showing how the image will look with the settings that are currently applied. The EVF is distracting going frame to frame when I'm shooting birds in flight at 7 frames per second, but since I use it for my landscape photography, that's not an issue. The settings and controls are so easy to access and use, as Nikon is the only DSLR I've had and the Z 6 controls and menu are laid out in a very similar manner. I've never gotten along well with Nikon lenses, but this combination of the Z 6 and the Nikon 24-70mm lens is excellent. It's like they did the auto focus fine tune in the manufacturing, and I didn't have to fine tune anything. Excellent sharp focus, and beautiful images right out of the camera. I picked the Z 6 up, and put the D750 down for good. Also, I'm getting older, and really appreciate the light weight of the Z 6 camera and lens combination. It's so easy to pull off the road and reach back behind my seat to pick the Z 6 up to take a quick landscape shot. I actually am always looking for landscape shots so I can use my Z 6 now. I never cared much about landscape photography before. I did some indoor shooting of rescued wildlife the other day, and the system worked excellent. Fast accurate auto focus, I could see through the EVF image what manual exposure changes I needed to make quickly, and beautifully resolved images. The Nikon Z 6 has opened a new avenue of excitement and enjoyment of photography for me~~

I have been using the Nikon 14-24 for years, and recently purchased the z 20mm for my z7, it is my new favorite lens! The lens is incredibly sharp at any aperture, and I have never been able to achieve such gorgeous sun stars in my landscape photography! Everything about this lens has made me want to go shoot more. It’s perfect for landscape photography but also a perfect lens for astrophotography! This is one of those lenses you must have in your kit!
