Is 4Gb Enough Ram For A Gaming Computer

A month ago, I bought a new HP Tower that although is a good computer, it came with just 4GB in RAM and was slow handling several applications at the same time. Taking advantage of the additional memory slot, I acquired and installed this 16 GB DDR4 Memory Module. Now the computer, working with 20 GB in RAM, has amazing performance completing routines and tasks in a quarter of the time as it was before this improvement.

My Dell came with only 4GB of RAM and was running really slow after installing the additional RAM my computer is working wonderfully. Thank you for a great experience and quick shipping

8GB SDRAM is much better than 4GB in my DELL desktop computer.

Old desk top was struggling with running Win-10 32bt. Only had 4gb ram, when opening a few picture/ video apps it was wheezing and stumbling all over the place. I checked Dell support to see if two 2gb would work with two 8gb in my 7010 Opti, both they and Crucial said it would, and boy does it! Note that the max ram for 32bit Windows is only 4gb, if you upgrade ram over 4 gb you have to switch to the 64bit Windows version for the system to recognize/use the added ram. You Tube has tons of info on how. Was a Very Good investment!

Plugged into my new DS1621+ NAS to bring the total RAM from 4GB to 8GB. No issue and when all setup the NAS recognized 8GB of RAM. Running great!

I was replacing an SSD drive and added a 4GB DDR4 2400 MHz RAM to make it 8GB. Computer runs efficiently.

Headline is updated laptop. Came with 1TB hard drive but 4GB RAM. Operating multiple tabs (3+) on Chrome was sluggish, and multiple programs operating was nigh impossible. Bought this after checking compatibility on another site (I can't recall if it were Lenovo's or Crucial's, sorry). Shipping time became extended during transit, but given the current pandemic, no complaints here (thank you to EVERYONE for working). Highly recommend this upgrade.

I had 4gb of RAM. PC was very slow. After so many windows open it ground to a halt. Defrag the drive, clean out files, reboot and the system was ok until I had to repeat again. I installed 2 x 8gb sticks of RAM and the system FLIES. Performance boost to virtually no swapping. Click screen, click screen, almost instant response. I am going to take a weekend and delete temp files, upsize the Paging file and Defrag. I expect another Performance boost. I recommend this Great product.

Not sure I needed this since DS923+ already comes with 4GB ram. Added this anyways to future proof it. If you decide to run applications on NAS, this will come in very handy - like VMs, Servers , Docker etc. Also slight pain the but once you are all setup and locked and you need to add this later on. - hence just added this.

The desktop had 4gb RAM installed when new. Years later it seems to have struggled to keep even 1 page documents in active memory. The addition of the 32gb RAM to the System has led it to stream videos. That is such a Plus.
