Is An Ultra Wide Monitor Worth It

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The next level of gaming has arrived with LG's new miracles 49 inch Extremely Ultra-wide Gaming Monitor. The monitor came nicely packaged with the essential cables to connect this beast of a monitor to my high end Rig. After setting up the monitor and turning it on for the first time, I had to step back as my smile grew as wide as the monitor figuratively speaking. I couldn’t wait but fired up a game of GTA and was amazed how much more I can see within the game. The 240 Hz just made it so buttery smooth playing on this 49inch UltraGear Monitor. As nice as the monitor is for gaming, I also love how much screen real estate I have now. I can multitask like never before with Adobe Photoshop, browsing the internet, Word and so much more. On my old monitor I would have to move apps around in order to adjust for productivity. Now that’s in the past thanks to this extremely Ultra-Wide monitor. I am glad I made this purchase to help utilize it best for multitasking, recreational and so much more.

First thing I must say is that this lens is worth the asking price. The value is amazing considering that it outperforms most ultrawide lenses available for mirrorless cameras, and it beats them in a number of ways. I use this with a Sony A6000, and it is a great pairing. It's a pretty small package when used together. It's also very light. When focused correctly, this lens is sharp at all aperture values. And it's sharp throughout the image, even the corners. It's very well corrected for comatic abberations, so it's great for astrophotography. On top of that, this lens is f2.0 wide open, which is a full stop better than any other ultra wide that you'd be able to find. Build quality is absolutely solid, and the focus ring is nicely dampened. Throughout the course of a week, I only bumped it out of focus maybe twice at most. It stays where you set it, which is a great thing with a lens like this. Additionally, using circular polarizers and ND filters are easy with this lens, as it takes 67mm filters. Because of its design, there is nomechanical vignetting with filter use. With all these things put together, this lens is a no brainer if you're in the market for an ultra wide lens for your APC-S camera.

This lens is definitely pricey and heavy but well worth it!! I've owned Canon ultra-wide zoom L lenses but this beat them all. F/2.8 across the whole range is a plus! Images are terrific !! Built-in lens hood ! The one downside is a filter can not be used! Overall the best Ultra-wide zoom lens out there!

most stunning ultra wide monitor I ever had, price is reasonable, I am very happy to use it for photo/video editing, but OLED is a little bit too bright to use indoor, need to use software to make it dimmer.

After doing my homework, this monitor had everything I needed and wanted and at a reasonable price point. It certainly did not disappoint - everything is crystal clear, and I have plenty of screen real estate to have multiple documents open, and even space to stream a movie or live TV. Great monitor at a great price!
