It is a great lens for crop sensor cameras. I use it on my NikonD5300. Produces good quality pictures in low light with the 1.8 aperture. The autofocus is quiet. Highly Recommend it. The weight is what you expect of a lens of this caliber.

Once upon a time, you had to buy a full frame camera to get a lens this good. But Sigma has changed the game with their new lenses for crop sensor cameras. The reality is, the vast majority of cameras today are crop sensor, and with this lens, in it's range, you can shoot on par with the pro's. Always wondered what that fancy L glass with the 2.8f was all about? Try this lens and see. 1.8f on a crop is equivalent to 2.8 on a full frame body. Bokehlicious. The pro's are raving about this lens for good reason.

Very good handy professional wide lens. Very useful both full frame and crop cameras. Never live home without it. :)

Awesome focal length for crop sensor cameras. Auto focus is a bit on the loud side, louder than the 50mm F/1.8 I think. If you can get past that then this is a great lens for multiple settings given that it's actually about 56mm when mounted on a crop sensor body.

I am extremely pleased with this lens! It goes well beyond my expectations for a lens designed specifically for aps crop sensor cameras, Sony a6100 in my case, not to mention the affordability of such a quality lens. I highly recommend this lens for folks using crop sensor cameras. 5 stars

One of the least expensive ways to get wide'' on a crop-sensor camera.

I have a crop sensor camera and the range is so good! I get a 900mm range! Unbelievable lens for the money. Highly recommended.

Bought this for the BMCC cause of the sensor crop. Which makes a 16mm about a 30 something mm (??) Anyway... Your serious options in an EF mount cine prime is this, a Canon or Zeiss. in a shootout the canon & zeiss both outperform the Rokinon. HOWEVER outside the context of a quasi scientific optical experiment I say that these are totally fine for storytelling and for straight up beauty shots. I personally wouldn't see the difference (after grading etc.) in the right hands between this lens and the Zeiss equivalent. When you factor the almost as good optics and then you factor in the insanely low price (comparatively) you've got to be a weirdo or a lens snob to not agree that this is an unbelievable good value. .

I do professional videography but I started out years ago shooting on a Pentax K1000 film camera. I bought the a6000 primarily for shooting video with a large sensor camera. This camera is fantastic. At around $500 there is nothing that comes close in features and it has a aps C sensor which is found in 90% of all dslr and mirrorless cameras. I’ve seen canon 1” sensor point ant shoot cameras for hundreds more. I shoot low light wedding videos on this camera and the video looks fantastic. It also shoots video in Sony’s xavc 50 mbps format which is found on Sony cameras and pro camcorders costing thousands more. This small camera is a beast!
