I considered Rycote's Lyre offerings, but they appear flimsy for the expense. Other brands use flimsy bands, and/or are ridiculously overpriced for such simple devices. The Audio-Technica AT8415 is lightweight and sturdy, and holds adjustment well. Mounting options are versatile, its size is compact, and the rubber isolation bands are robust enough not to fear easily breaking one. Body resonance does not seem to be an issue. Good performance and good value. I will buy again! 5 |
