Is New Ssd Drive Simple Volume

Works well and super easy to install is the best part for my New SSD drive

I bought this drive because of it's huge volume (5TB) and the fact that it was only about $100. I recently bought a 4 TB SSD which is about twice as fast but cost about $400. This drive easily transfers at 80 MB/sec which is fast enough for me. I don't edit videos directly from this drive, and you probably could, but it's great as a backup drive. No external power cord - all powered via usb. In fact I bought two since they were so inexpensive. Very pleased.

Bought this SSD from B&H and it was here in 2 days. I simple cloned my existing C drive to it, installed it and was done. The difference it makes in the speed of programs is remarkable. It especially made a difference in the performance of Photoshop and Lightroom.

We wanted a low-profile SSD version of a 'SD/CF Card Reader' for tethered work that would mount securely to a laptop plate in a digital workstation. This fit the bill perfectly. Solid with lots of mounting options. We used a short NATO rail w/QR clamp for flexibility, but a simple 1/4-20 machine screw would have pulled it tight to the underside of the plate. The ONLY 'complaint' is that the rubber dust cover for when there's no drive inserted tends to open too easily. Also, a method to keep the cover pulled tight against the side of unit when a drive IS inserted would be nice - both simple DIY fixes.

This is a very simple hard drive/SSD case, but it's plenty fast. For the price you really can't go wrong. Just be careful when you slide a 3.5 drive in; keep it close to the case. Faster than most of the other cases since it's USB 3.0/3.1. Oddly, it does not come with rubber feet, but that's minor. This is a great enclosure for it's price, you can't go wrong. I know some reviewers complained about the power adapter, but you cannot spin up a 3.5 HD with USB power, it requires much more current than USB can provide.

Plugged this into my iMac and installed a SSD drive. Simple, fast and easy. Perfect for Motion and Final Cut projects. Real time playback of video while editing.

this adapter was super simple to attach to my new SSD Drive. And because it is blue I can differentiate it Quickly from my other drives in the computer. I am a fan of the OWC products and have been using them for years. I have many of their hard drives. They've done extremely well over the years.
