The performance numbers claimed by HighPoint seem legitimate. Over 350MB/s reads with a OWC SSD- this is very impressive for a sub $ storage dock: . With these numbers, its not hard to see the advantage over a USB 2.0. The build quality is also quite good - something else I did not expect for a dock in this price range. It also seems to have solid compatibility, as it worked flawlessly with several Seagates and a Hitachi 4TB SATA hard drive. Of not, the power cord is also of a generous length, so no worries about having to rearrange your workspace.

After some research I was well aware of the learning curve this would have, but once I got the hang of programming it, it's brought back some legitimate joy into my work flow. I've used other controllers but the loupedeck CT is so responsive it feels like you're reaching your hand into your computer to manipulate it. I use it primarily for Lightroom at the moment and made some minor tweaks to the existing preset to better work for my needs. Looking forward to getting this working for Final Cut Pro as well.

Unlike online auctions where you buy an applecare package and get an electronic version that is in fact not legitimate this is the actual box, and certificate. If I need to transfer the applecare to another owner there will be no issues, or hassle for proof of purchase as I have had in the past with online auctions applecare purchases.
