I have been very pleased with the new Nikon Z50 2 Lens kit. It is much smaller and lighter than my other cameras, and it is very comfortable to handle and use. It just feels right when I pick it up. Both lenses focus quickly and quietly, and they produce sharp photos. They are well matched to the camera, and in spite of the plastic construction, they seem well made. The photos are very sharp and crisp and compare very favorably with the photos that I take with my D7500. Being a Nikon owner already, I had no trouble using the menu system. Since there are fewer buttons, it does take a little adjusting to shift from the dslr to the mirrorless, but once I had used the camera for a few days, the adjustment became easier. I love the eye autofocus. What really makes me happy is the video performance of the camera. The Z50's video autofocus is so much better than the the D7500! One thing that is quite different is the battery life. Managing the battery is much more important with the Z50, and I am very glad that I purchased a second battery. In summary, I love the Z50 and I'm glad I made it my first mirrorless camera.

This camera is AMAZING. The low light performance, the ability to go mirrorless or use optical viewfinder, the quality of the raw files, the deep menus with lots of choices to customize: itʻs a great camera that puts out a stunning product.   I have had several Nikons and this D780 is hands down my favorite. I prefer it to the D850 (supposedly a better camera but not in my humble opinion) and the D7500 (not a better camera so maybe not fair to compare).  It is bigger and heavier than the D7500, but that size gives you so much more power that it is worth it. Iʻm pleased with the 24-120 lens as well, especially since this combo allows you to buy the lens for only $500 (itʻs normally $1,100).

I just got the Nikon Z6 Mirrorless camera; this is my first mirrorless body and I'm super excited to see how it compares to my DSLRs. First impressions are great with it producing high quality images and fast focusing. I love that it's light-weight and easy to travel!

If yours just starting back into or getting serious about photography, then this Nikon D7500 camera with the Nikon Nikkor 18-140mm lens is awesome. I have enjoyed this so much that I’m glad I switched from Canon to Nikon. I used to own Canon cameras and lenses when I was last into photography in my B.C. days. (Before Children). It was a serious but expensive hobby; however, I gave it up because we had twin boys and it just was too expensive with some of the challenges we faced and sold my equipment to. So go down the road about 12-13 years... and here we are. We were at one of my sons’ games and realized how much I missed taking action shots. A friend was sharing her shots of our son, and my wife suggested I get a camera for the boys with my recent bonus from work. We did after my research that led me to Nikon and the D7500 as a great in between the pricier full frame cameras and cheaper intro cameras. The fast processor, advanced tools and conveniences, and an overall good bang for the buck were positives, too. I’m glad that I did and enjoy a camera that allows me to avoid limitations over my control of a shot, brings me back to photography in a serious way, and allows me to use a camera that is not completely foreign to me. Nikon is very intuitive and I like the quality of their mid range lenses. I’m not a videographer, so 1080P or 4K video was not a major thing, yet this camera seems to be a great starter for that as well. The weight of the camera is great and it has on board flash. In the end, I’ve had the ability to get some very good shots. I highly recommend this as a step up, an alternative to a 5600, or a cheaper non-mirrorless camera. If your are into mainly videography, my research says go mirrorless; however, if photography is what you are after, consider this one as a serious contender. It’s just really good.

My other camera is a Nikon D7500 and its main advantage over Leica is the possibility of using several lenses. The feature that Leica has and differentiates it is the focus stacking, absent in my Nikon, in addition to being much more portable and discreet. In short, to take macro photos I choose Leica, to use more than 70 mm zoom, use on Nikon, and in other situations, both are great

I purchased a Nikon D5100 over 20 years ago. Although the camera is still working, I purchased the D7500 to ensure that the number of accumulated lens and accessories could be used hopefully for years to come. And who knows when the DSLR will make its final bow? The D7500 will be my main camera now.

I ordered this book with the purchase of the Nikon D7500. The in-depth explanation of this camera’s specific features saved hours of trial and error testing and online research. The author is very thorough and offers professional advise on settings and accessories, allowing users to get the most out of the D7500. I highly recommend this book whether new to DSLR photography or simply looking to get more familiar with the many advanced operations of the Nikon D7500.
