There are times when I regret not having purchased DMX enabled versions of my studio lights. With this control paired to an SSL-836 I got first hand experience on the importance of remote control of studio lamps. If there was an upgrade to the SSL-36 I would immediately buy one or each of my 4 lamps. Now I am wondering if I can justify a few more SSL-836 lamps. This is not a substitute for all the functions of a DMX board, but it does what I need in the studio. I can dial in the lighting while looking at the exposure values on a camera waveform monitor. There's a LOT to like about this recorder. The BT app is great for remote control, 4 different ways to power the unit, and more. They put a lot of thought into the design in my opinion. And finally, 32 bit float is the next big thing in digital audio- not having to set input gains and no longer needing to worry about an accidental clip ruining your entire recording. It's like shooting photographs and video in RAW, but with audio.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that I am able to have my TV, directv, and even my ps4 all on one remote instead of having 3 or 4 different remotes to use. One thing that us a Lil annoying to me is if I need to use the volume I constantly have to switch over to the TV then back to the directv for changing stations but thats not a big problem. Another thing I was able to do was put my child's tv on it so I don't have to constantly look for theirs. 1 remote to take the place of 4 or 5 so awesome.

I like that my new roku has the volume control on the remote so i only need one remote.

This remote is easy to control. Nice.
