Like everything else in the UniFi lineup, this access point has been nothing but rock solid and easy to set up. It works great to expand wifi coverage to my backyard, since the wifi signal inside my house doesn't make it reliably outside. I can't comment on the mesh functionality since I have it connected via Cat 6 outdoor ethernet cable to a Ubiquiti US-8-60W switch inside the house, so it's just acting like an access point rather than a mesh network. It is also connected outside to a Ubiquiti ETH-SP-G2 surge protector (in the picture, which I need to ground), and a second ETH-SP-G2 on the outside of the house, where the ethernet cable goes into the house (grounded). The access point and surge protector is mounted under my deck, on one of the support pillars. My only negative feedback is the mounting options. While the access point comes with a few different options (pole mount, wall mount, and antenna mount), the mount that I was going to use (wall mount) doesn't look like it has a way to detach the access point too easily. I first mounted it to the Ubiquiti Universal Antenna Mount (UB-AM), but the antenna mount was overkill for one little access point and the surge protector, so I ended up returning that. I like the antenna mount that comes with the access point, which I ultimately used, since it has a tab you push to detach the access point from the mount. I intend to remove the access point during the winter, since I'm not in my backyard much then (living in Colorado). So I ended up drilling a couple of small screw holes in the middle of the antenna mount, which has worked well.

I use these all around the house as an economical surge protector that I can rely on, wherever I don't need the additional coax or network lines protected as well. The design of the supressor is such that you can use up to three bulky transformers without blocking the use of the other outlets, since two of the outlets are provided on the side. Additionally, it has a rating of 2160J, which is plenty of protection for me for most applications. After having an issue with a lightning strike, I spent a lot of time researching reviews of products and customer feedback to get a feel for which companies actually stood behind their products. Tripp-Lite was the only one I felt I could trust.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh I love this and wow didn't realize how much I keede a surge protector. My house got struck by lighting lost a TV but not the TV or sound system or fireplace because of this surge protector. I already bought 3 mire for the rest of the house.

This Surge Protector is the perfect size for behind my TV. I love that it has an outlet on top and botton for my bigger plugs and also the end outlet can accommodate a bigger longer plug as well. The last surge protector I had did not have them and my bigger plugs would cover up multiple oulets. I love that it has a small green power light and a small red grounded light so that you know it is working. If you need a 7 outlet surge protector look no further.

It's a good surge protector. There's not much to say about it, although I do like the layout of the outlets with the three angled plugs for larger power bricks. It has plenty of outlets, mounts nicely, and has a couple of built-in USB charging ports which could make it easier to power additional media streaming devices when the rest of the outlets are taken up by the rest of your media console items.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Belkin surge protector gives me peace of mind because I love the brand and I know I can count on all my electronics to stay safe during a storm or any surge thru your house. I love that there are 12 outlets with plenty of space to plug everything in. Make sure you read the manual that comes with the product to ensure that it supports all of your electronics. I love the thinner sleek design and I love that you can hang it up for a cleaner look. There is also a cord separator on the end of the surge protector for a nice organized clean look. I love there is a green light that stays on so you know your electronics are safe. There is also a “not grounded” red light that will come on if something is wrong. I also love that there is phone, Ethernet and coax hookups and protection. The 10ft cord is also a plus. Overall, I love everything about Belkins 12-outlet surge protector and most of all, I love and trust the brand. I highly recommend to every household. It’s a must have.
