Is Vivitar A Good Brand

Considering the name vivitar from years gone by - was never the top brand but made its name present in the camera business. I bought this bag hoping that it would meet my needs but thinking maybe not. After I received the bag - this bag is great - the photo does not do it justice! I love mine!

Needing to replace my macro filters I decided to try these from Vivitar. I've always had great experience with the brand and decoded to try them and they're great! And the price is RIGHT!

I've used various off brand battery grips. A few Vello and a Vivitar. I had replaced two of the Vello brand. Once by sending in for repairs and the second buying a new one. The Vivitar didn't last more than a few hours before failing. Being a professional photographer it's more important to have gear that works 100% of the time rather than saving a couple hundred dollars. I should have saved myself time and money years ago and just paid up front for this.

Well, this is it...the Rokinon (Samyang, Bower, Vivitar, etc...) lens that made everybody sit up and take notice. For good reason, too! For half a grand, there is nothing else that compares. This is very sharp, extremely fast and well-built. If you value this focal length and can live without autofocus, this is a no-brainer!

I'm an amateur photographer just getting into taking portraits. This seemed like a good little setup to get in the mix for cheap while still looking professional. Coupled with my Vivitar 285HVs the only think keeping me back is me!

Have always had very good results with Vivitar filters and other of their products. Ordering from B&H Photo is mandatory. You won't find a more professional and customer-oriented camera store than B&H. Thank you. TJR

I found the Impact Mini Softbox to be a good value. I use it with a Vivitar 285HV which has an unusually large bezel. I've found that many diffusers do not fit the large flash head bezel. I personally like the snug (but not too snug) fit as it keeps the Mini Softbox securely in place and helps it to maintain its proper shape.
