Isolation Control Game

Fun Game to play during pandemic isolation!

I can't express how much I have come to value this DI. When recording (or amplifying) acoustic jazz bass from a loud stage, I do what I can with a microphone but for isolation I MUST incorporate a DI. The variable input impedance control on the TD-100 changes the loading on high impedance, passive pickups. This boils down to being an incredible tone control, allowing me to find a sweet spot in the bass tone before I ever reach for an EQ. Bass players also love the vastly improved tone which is thereby presented to the input of their amp, allowing them to sculpt an even better tone rather than simply trying to transform a poor one into something usable. I don't play bass, but if I did I would own one of these. As an engineer, I always have one handy. Using a channel with this DI either alone or in combination with a microphone yields beautiful results while also allowing me to have much better isolation than just a microphone can deliver. Highly recommended!

The Auray VOCDOC-ISOMD Microphone Isolation Chamber is a beast. It takes your mic and puts it in its own little sound-enhanced house. When I got this my first thought was how would this compare to the non-enclosed version I have? So I compared them in a room that had an air purifier going full blast nearby. The full isolation makes a huge difference. I had to do far less post on the clips I captured with this unit. It really is like a little home for your mic that does an awesome job of reducing outside noises. So A+ for performance. As far as design goes, I think the chamber is set up logically and gives you many options for mic and xlr placement. There is a mount on the bottom where you can put this on a stand, but note that you will need a more heavy-duty stand to hold this with your mic of choice. I love that there is a dual-layer pop filter built into the front of it. All-in-all this is a great isolation system. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

I have been using Elgato products since the Game Capture HD with a 2009 iMac. I used to light up my elgato green screen with a cheap USB powered LED work light set on the floor. It managed for the most part, but far from an ideal solution. The jump to the Key Light was like night and day, literally. Having full control over colour temperature and brightness made my lighting look instantly professional. Being able to control every option via the iOS app over WiFi meant the Key Light became the main source of lighting in my tiny apartment, and still is.

I recently bought one of these to bring my work to the next level and I'm quite impressed. Having full control of my audio is a game changer. The mics pick up range is really impressive compared to the VideoPro mic I have been using. Highly recommend this addition to your tool belt.

The installation is very easy to do, the navigation with the remote control is great. Game stream is working like a dream, and Netflix is also working great. I really love this device.
