I plan to use this filter to catch the ISS transiting the sun sometime soon. The image Ive attached is my first test of the filter around midday near Austin, TX. The filter screws on smoothly and its appreciably better than the paper/mylar thing I used to take photos of the partial solar eclipse a year or so ago. This Hoya filter does not render a yellow look like the mylar did, which I am happy about. I dont know what white balance I used for the example photo here. The filter comes in a circular two-piece plastic container that has a quarter-twist to lock the pieces together. Glad I purchased this filter. 5 |
