This compressor is incredible for pedal steel guitar. Channel 1 goes to volume pedal, 2 and 3 stereo at end of chain for more comp/limiting of peaks and noise gate since I have single coil pickups. Full control, perfect! 5 |

I bought a pair of these mics about a week ago. So far I have mainly used them on acoustic guitar (steel and nylon string). I'm getting excellent results, and feel quite sure these mics will record a great many other sources with similar results. Out of curiosity I DID also put one up with the wind screen on an a pop filter to see how a vocal would sound. Well, it sounded quite good. I'm a professional musician and recording engineer, and I'm MOST pleasantly surprised at finding these mics. They are open yet rich, and have a nice sheen without being edgy. On top of that, they even come with an omni capsule in addition to the cardiod capule. l own many nice mics, costing many times more than these mics. However, I will be ordering another pair of CAD E70s very soon. 5 |
