Gotta love this lens. I hesitated for quite a while as I fretted over not being able to use a filter (in the conventional sense). The user feedback regarding the hardiness of the coatings, and the fact that my DA 10-17 fisheye is still doing well convinced me to go ahead. This lens gives me the missing ultra-wide option for my K1. The image quality is excellent, and I like the f/2.8 throughout the zoom range. Yeah, it's a massive hunk of glass and metal, but well worth it. Besides, it's proving to be pretty good for building upper body strength. 5 |
