First Off I LOVE ALL JBL AUDIO PRODUCTS!!!! JBL in my opinion is on top when it comes to sound quality. No matter what you're listening to, it's extremely clear and defined. For you Dubstep and Bass Junkies out there, look no further. The Boombox 3 has all the bass you need in a portable platform. This beast rips hard. And the bass hits even harder. Punchy bass hits, with crsytal clear drops. Electronic Music has never sounded better. If you want Loud as heck. This is perfect. Honestly I've gotten headaches its so darn loud. But for me Louder the better, and this unit exceeds all expectations. The price tag can scare some away, but I assure you the JBL Boombox 3 is worth every penny and more. It's tough as nails, the quality is very high. Plus its waterproof and dustproof. I use mine in a shipyard, where it gets loud, but my speaker is louder! Very Super Highly Recommend, I'll be JBL for Life!

I'm comparing JBL Boombox 3 against a pair of Sonos Era 300 ($900) and Sonos Gen 3 subwoofer ($800) working together. I was happy with the performance of the Sonos combo (era 300 pair + sub gen 3) at home and thought I could use the JBL Boombox 3 as something that is portable. Comparing the Sonos combo against JBL Boombox 3, it is logical to think that Sonos combo would have better sound based on higher price and quantity (3 Sonos devices vs. 1 JBL). To my surprise, the JBL sounds better by itself than the more expensive Sonos combo. I was shocked. The vocal from music sounds more clear, the tiny details like bottle breaking and door closing sound louder. The bass sounds good too, but not better than Sonos' dedicated Sub gen 3. All of this greatness while being portable makes the JBL the clear winner. Of note: when JBL is plugged in, it sounds better than battery powered. It is heavy, but the sound it produces is worth the weight. I believe you will like the Boombox 3 if you compared it against Sonos wireless speakers, such as Era 300 and Era 100 (I have both pairs).

The JBL Boombox 3 is the best in its class. I have tried and listened to all of them and I always came back to the Boombox 3. Do yourself a favor and get it. If it's a matter of cost, just budget for it and save. Don't buy something that will not measure up because of the price tag.

I'm not a DJ or a performer, bought this because my JBL Xtreme just wasn't loud enough. Was considering the Boombox, but this is so much louder, has so much more bass, and is way cheaper. Only thing is this has to be plugged in to work since it has no battery. Sound is unreal though, super clear, with a ton of bass

I definitely have to say that I’m very impressed on how thisBoombox 3 sounds! My volume levels are usually around 50-60% and wow this thing is loud and the bass packs a punch! Especially having control over the EQ on the JBL app, have access to the bass and mids and treble definitely makes a huge difference! This is my first JBL speaker and yeah it’s pricey but money well worth! I’m literally thinking on picking up a second Boombox 3! Hopefully JBL comes out with a Boombox 4! Great job!

I bought my wife a Karaoke machine for Christmas which was two 1/4 microphone inputs on it. I was thinking how cool it would be to have wireless mics so people could hand them off as songs changed, instead of being limited by a cord, and having to swap seats. The WMS40 fit the bill PERFECTLY. I was a little concerned, with the low price, that the quality wouldn't be there, but the system is static free and sounds GREAT! I used balanced 1/4 cables (pulled from patchbay) to connect the microphone base unit to the Karaoke machine. The distance from the singers to the base unit is under 30 feet so I can't speak for the range of the unit.
