This portable smart speaker goes everywhere with me. Much better quality sound than JBL, Beats and Aztec. The Bluetooth range is amazing combined with the Wi-Fi Alexa or your favorite streaming platform makes me want to buy another 1 and link them throughout my entire home.

The jbl clip 4 is the best portable speaker I have ever known there is no speaker like this one good job jbl for your hard work.

It looks like nothing else I've ever owned, and I immediately cleared a display area for it in my kitchen, where another, smaller, smart speaker had previously resided. The real impression came, however, when I plugged it in and started playing some music. The dynamic range on this is truly impressive; the bass can be felt through the entire counter surface. There are separate knobs to adjust treble, bass, and volume, though the volume was easy to control using my phone as well. I first tested the bluetooth capabilities, which worked flawlessly and at a significant range, before installing the JBL+ app and following the setup instructions. Within about two minutes I had the Authentics 200 connected to my home's wifi network and authenticated for use as a smart speaker with the major smart-home 3rd parties...you know the ones. Now it's super easy to use the Authentics for everything from playlists to streaming radio, to setting timers or my kids getting quick answers to questions. All in all, a splendid addition to the home sound network.

This JBL Authentics 500 retro looking smart home speaker is amazing. Punchy lows, powerful mids, and crisp highs! Everything down to the clean brass / gold accents on the speaker, beautiful grille, to the packaging screams classy. This absolutely can be a center piece and doesnt need to be hidden away like other speakers you may have in your home. As classy and sophisticated the JBL Authentics 500 looks, it does not play around when you need to transform your home into your very own live concert or night club. At it's top volume, you have no distortion and even your neighbors across the street will be enjoying the quality of sound this speaker gives. At this point you don't need to read anymore and just buy this speaker but... it gets even better!! This is a wi-fi speaker meaning you can pair the JBL Authentics 500 with all of your other wi-fi enabled smart speakers in home! An absolute joy to shake your home and feel like you are front stage at your favorite band's concert! If you are contemplating getting this to add speakers to your home or even have this as a stand-alone, you will not be dissappinted in the slightest bit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Authentics 500 is a quality eye catching smart speaker (has both Alexa and Google assistant built in) and the fine tuning controls on a downloadable app for your phone. Its look reminds me of classic JBL speakers I’ve seen as a kid, with its black with gold accents and a waffle-like Quadrex grille in the front of the speaker that resembles the 1970’s high end JBL speakers. Even though there is no dedicated RCA inputs for a turntable there is an audio in jack in which you can connect a 3.5mm Stereo Male to 2RCA Male cable, and it works well. I have used the smart feature to create alarms, as a sleep timer, get weather updates, music streaming and to get general information, the extent of its capabilities goes far beyond that all while enjoying the premium JBL sound. The speaker provides plenty of deep bass, and just has a premium sound. Altogether, the system delivers a frequency range of 40Hz to 20 kHz and 270W of power (I got this info from the spec sheet). All of these features make it much more than just a Bluetooth speaker, I believe it will stand the test of time and I will be enjoying it for years to come.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! The first word that comes to mind when I cracked open the new JBL Clip 5 from Harman. How can all that sound come from such a small package?!? Let me explain... The new and revised Clip 5 offering from JBL offers many upgrades from previous models including better battery life, connectivity, and a larger/durable 'clip' (carabiner) opening to accommodate more areas in which to use this roughly 6x4x2 inch speaker! The sound is potent with punchy bass emitting from a frequency range of 95hz-20Khz. The sound is nothing short of astounding but also lives up the the JBL reputation of bigger isn't always better. The small palm-of-your-hand sized frame (which is dust and WATER proof) is rugged and can take abuse from most any outdoor activity in which it is used. Battery life is up to 12hrs with an additional 3hrs of playtime when you turn Playtime Boost (in the JBL Portable App) to the off setting... all this with just a minimal 3 hour charge time from a supplied USB-A to USB-C connecting cable. The cable is short but does the trick and you must supply a wall USB-A compatible charging block yourself. The speaker is able to be connected to other JBL Portable devices thru AuraCast and the JBL app for a complete party on the go.. whether you're fishing, swimming, beaching, off-roading, partying, or just relaxing.. it just works! I did have trouble when first trying to connect the speaker to the JBL Portable App but soon discovered a quick update of the App fixed all connectivity issues. The Clip 5 does come in a variety of colors but whatever the color... this thing just ROCKS! The main use I have for the speaker is in my shower. My mornings are started with a bang from this potent little monster! Well worth every penny just as other JBL speakers I have in my collection. The JBL/Harman name is simply synonymous with quality sound and craftsmanship!
