I purchased this monitor on the deal zone. I use it with a laptop. It's very well constructed and just the right size for me. The display screen is very good. It does not have a touchscreen, however excellent monitor for those of us who are not needing a touchscreen. I would highly recommend this monitor. 5 |

I think I've purchased about 3 of these - for home computer, work computer, laptop, and recommended to a friend or two. For me, it's better than a mouse because: 1) you don't move your wrist around, you move your fingers instead. So for me, no wrist stress no repetitive motion problems. Can't say that it avoids carpel tunnel, but I think if you keep your wrist straight it can. 2) Less desk space required, and no bumping into other things on the desk. 3) More precise for things like cad. The movements are independent of the button pushing, so it's easy to be precise. I've used this on Linux and various versions of Windows, all work great. The best combination? A laptop that has a touchscreen. They you can pick between the touchscreen with a stylus for drawing, and this for other work. 5 |

I work with two Kubuntu 12.04 Linux workstations continuously connected, and a Windows 7 employer's Lenovo 530 laptop that I connect every evening on returning home and disconnect every morning when heading to work (via a Lenovo docking station continuously connected). My monitors are dual Dell 3007 2560x1600 dual-link DVI, keyboard Avant Stellar (PCI connector via USB adapter), with a Microsoft wireless mouse. When using the laptop, I can use its screen in addition to the two Dells. I can switch among these seamlessly. I even have the less-used Linux workstation normally sleeping, as it wakes up properly as soon as I select it. A nice touch is that one Dual-Link DVI cable of each pair has the USB and audio cables integrated into it, keeping the wiring rat's nest manageable. The only annoyance is that, inevitably, because the external monitor configuration for the Windows 7 Lenovo 530 at the office differs, I need to reposition some windows when moving between home and office. But once I got the Windows configuration set up properly, the laptop at least automatically recognizes which monitor configuration it's connected to. (Because the DVI outputs of the Lenovo docking station are single-link, it's necessary to use its HDMI outputs and interpose Accel HDMI to Dual DVI converters between it and the MiniView.) 5 |

I needed this to add 5GHz capability to an old laptop that I was using as a router. The big antenna on this adapter makes it 2-3 times faster and much more stable than my old means of connecting. For Linux, you need to get the driver package from the website, don't bother with the included disk. I used the latest version, I simply ran the install script in a terminal window, and it was up and running, that easy. The adapter unplugs from the base and can be plugged directly into a usb port if necessary, the antenna is hinged. The base is weighted and lets you move the adapter around for the best reception. Really can't come up with any negatives. It is hard to find a 5GHz USB Wifi adapter for Linux, and this one works very well. I'm sure the Windows and Mac support is as good. 5 |

Needed an small portable HD to carry with my laptop. This HD is small, light, fast, and has the capacity that I was looking for. I have a linux and a NTFS partition on it and is working great. No extra cable needed to power it up. Great design. 5 |

Bluetooth pairs well with Windows or Linux on my laptop, and the USB adapter provides reliable fallback. The mouse fits my large hands, feels solid, and responds smoothly. 5 |

Bought a second to use with the laptop. Works on everything I've plugged it into - linux, windows, etc. Makes cad work much easier, easier on the wrist for me, and works where you don't have a reliable surface for a mouse. On my HP laptop, I can intermix touchpad, this trackball, and touch screen all at the same time...very cool. 5 |

In need of a new laptop for Linux development. I met with a B&H customer support specialist who reviewed product options with me. After careful consideration I selected the ACER Swift X 16 and confirming that it would support a Linux OS, I made the purchase. I received the laptop within 2 days. In 25 minutes, I was up and running with a Linux OS. I will happily purchase from B&H again. Thank you B&H team! Best Regards, MikeR 5 |
