Kensington Computer Bag

This is at least my third Kensington trackball. I've been using one—exclusively— for at least 10 years, probably more like 20. I find it easier to use, ergonomically, than a mouse. At the moment I have two going simultaneously, one on my old computer, one on my new computer. Thrilled that I can get it wireless now! (P.S. Their tech support is great too. I'm very un-mechanical.) 5 |

The wired trackball did not wake up after the computer went to sleep and I had to unplug it from the USB hub. It was driving me insane. I searched and found many messages about the problem but no solutions that worked for me! I talked to the Kensington phone help service and they could not help. Finally I found out by trial and error that turning off (unchecking) the When the display is sleeping and When the screen is locked in System preferences: Notifications: Do Not Disturb solves the problem. I am running the MACOS 11.4 and the latest Kensington software. 5 |

I've used Kensington track balls since we bought our first home computer in the mid 1980's. When our most recent trackball failed after more than five years of daily use, there was no question what we would buy to replace it. I have tried thumb balls and regular mice, but will always come back to Kensington, especially the Expert Pro. You feel so much in control, can change settings to each users preferences, and the newer optical model is extremely smooth. 5 |

This is by far the best trackball every introduced to the computer world. Nothing compares. Kensington has been making them for a very long time and haven't had to change a thing. It's a smaller footprint and much quicker to get around. LOVE IT. I keep spares in case one dies or Kensington stops making them. 5 |

I have a couple of these. My first computer was a Mac PowerBook with a trackball, and over the 20 years since then I have never learned to feel comfortable with a mouse. A trackball is so much more comfortable because you move only your fingers, not your hand. I've tried several different trackballs, and this one is the best, hands down. With the wrist rest extension, it feels completely natural under my hand. Moving the cursor around with the ball is effortless; scrolling with the scroll ring takes a little more getting used to. The 4 buttons are great; I have the top right programmed for Hit Return and the left for Back on the internet. Installing Kensington TrackBallWorks is a must for programming actions and adjusting speed of motion. I can't imagine anyone who's used this item ever using a mouse again. The only drawback is that it's a little big to carry around with a laptop. For out and about purposes, I'll use the trackpad for casual things, but for any serious work, the smaller and lighter 2-button Kensington Orbit Trackball with Scroll Ring is a quite acceptable substitute. 5 |

For pro use such as CAD, this is the best. Kensington is pretty flakey, but the product is great. 5 |
