Kestrel 4500 Screen Projector

We use this projector screen in our church activities.

I installed them next to my projector screen and they sound great.

Anyone looking to extend there monitor onto a TV screen or projector this is the way to go.

Using this to decode an NDI source to a projector in Church services with live stream. We previously were sending the Presentation Laptops screen to the OBS computer via NDI, and used a separate proprietary wireless video feed to the main projector. Got this so we can use the same NDI source for both and eliminate the wireless projector feed. It is working well. One thing to be aware of: the projector will display will go blank in a couple of seconds if there is no video and audio activity when using NDI Screen Capture as the source. This can be an issue during power points with static screens. You can set the decoder to keep the last thing displayed on the screen or allow it to go blank. I prefer it to go blank so I know something is wrong right away. You can also resolve by making sure the NDI Screen Capture is using an active audio source (like the microphone). This decoder has been reliable and is reasonably priced. Perhaps other decoders won't have the inactivity issue but they are also more expensive. This has not been a show stopper for us.

This thing worked great. This is just what I needed to get my screen up and another screen to my projector up at the same time in my sanctuary. This was great.

Replaced bulb with 4500 hours on it. Easy to do. Bulb was perfect.

Fits my Kestrel weather meter perfectly with some room to get your fingers in to pull out the Kestrel with no fuss.

Worked great for a PRS style precision rifle match this weekend. Ranged accurately out to 1002 yards (our longest shot). Interfaces with the Kestrel 5700 AB as well as most know. But I learned it also works to input range/slope into the Kestrel 5700 AB in target mode, perfect for competitions. Got the stage brief, started ranging and boom-boom-boom had all the ranges/slopes in the Kestrel and a firing solution worked out for all targets within a few seconds.

I just received my new remote shutter release and haven't found anything negative. I have a kestrel nesting box next to my house and now I can capture pictures of the male and female coming and going from the nest. Then in a few weeks I can capture their chicks fledging from the nest. Can hardly wait.
