Keyboard For Latest Ipad

Bought this magic keyboard as a gift for my wife after getting one myself earlier. Originally I planned to replace my iPad with this setup, but ended up replacing both tablet and my aging Airbook. Pro: real keyboard with a touchpad, great viewing position Con: heavy, so may leave the keyboard at home when traveling, also a bit pricy when compared to buying a notebook pc due to cost of iPad and keyboard. In my case I bought the 12.9” iPad but felt it was so big, that I went with the IPadAir as the gift. Bonus is she got the latest processor while mine is almost a year old and probably due for an update in early 2021. The latest iPadAir works with the keyboard as well as the 11 pro. Highly recommended.

This is simply the best keyboard for an iPad Pro.

This latest generation iPad is wonderful! The only thing you need to know is that it is longer than previous iPads.

I am Loving my new iPad Pro so far. Of course it’s light years ahead of the 2004 Apple iBook G4 that it is replacing (I know, I know...). Obviously there is somewhat of a learning curve with the differences but in a house with two teenagers to help, that’s been O.K. So far. I also got the “Magic Keyboard” with this iPad which of course also acts as a case. I don’t know if I’m more taken with the iPad, the Magic Keyboard or how they function together? - It is a joy to see perfectly functioning engineering like this! - I was concerned that I might not like the keyboard or that it would be too far off from the one I was used to, but I needn’t have been and actually like this keyboard better than my old one! Key function and sensitivity and keyboard size are great! - The iPad magnetically connects effortlessly with the Magic Keyboard and can charge from there too and when you want it disconnected for other uses, you just grab it and pull it off the keyboard component! - Once I’d set them both up my two aforementioned teenagers were even visibly impressed and I wondered if I sensed a little envy in their look even though they’ve had much further advanced electronic devices than their Dad for a long time up until this point. - It is fantastic and really does make it seem like a “real” laptop computer - or even better! I have a Magic keyboard for my IPad Pro, and love it-but it only works as a cover and keyboard. At times I want to use my iPad Pro as a writing pad, necessitating taking it out of the magic keyboard. The Smart Keyboard, while laking the touch pad, fold back allowing me to use my ipad with the Apple Pencil. I love it.

After several efforts to make an iPad more than just a browsing and gaming gadget, I dove deeper with the 2018 iPad Pro 11 inch. iOS 13 convinced me that the iPad might be more useful than previously. The iOS makes a big difference, but having a real keyboard to use with it, made the iPAD Pro a home run. I'm very satisfied with this keyboards performance and functionality. The Apple smart keyboard is too limited for my needs (think: emaciated super model) and the big bulky overbuilt keyboards negate the advantages of the iPads diminutive size. I can't speak to it's durability as I've only had it a couple of months. So far so good. I'm actually using the iPad Pro more and more for emails, writing and everyday tasks that I gave up on with my previous iPAD 2 and iPAD Air 2. It is quickly becoming a replacement for my MBP for mobile computing needs. The Logitech Slim Folio Pro, along with an Apple Pencil is a big part of that transition.
