I love my Play 5. I opted for the larger play 5 over the smaller play 3 for my living room and am very glad to have made that choice. I'm a bit technically challenged and set up couldn't have been easier. I was a bit worried about having to use the Sonos app over iTunes to play music, but the setup of the Sonos app is so good that I prefer it over iTunes anyway. Sound quality is fantastic, filling the room with beautiful, rich sound. My favourite songs have never sounded so good. I also use a play 3 in the adjacent kitchen which is great, but the play 5 is perfect for the bigger living room. I highly recommend the play 5.

I have to tell you so many people are quite to put this presenter down because they say it will not work with MAC. They are completely wrong. If you know anything about computers don't always assume it will not work. You just have to make some configuration adjustments and it works fine. It's a MAC not a PC. So for those who have MAC and don't know what to do I give you some instructions below. The first time I plugged it in, a Keyboard Assistant ran since the Mac didn't recognize the keyboard. I simply quit the assistant, and there was no problem. The forward, back, and black screen buttons work fine on both Powerpoint and Keynote. However out of the box, the play button works on neither. With some configuration in the system preference, I was able to get the play buttons to work on both powerpoint and keynote. To configure Powerpoint for the play button, go to the Keyboard system preference and pick Keyboard Shortcuts. Then scroll to Application Then hit the + key to add a shortcut. Pick Microsoft Powerpoint for the application (you may need to hit Other... to find it, since it's in a subdirectory in Applications). For Menu Title type in, exactly, Slide Show (without the quotes). Then in the Keyboard Shortcut, simply press the play button on the remote. That sets the shortcut to F5, which is what the remote sends when you press play. Now the play button works for Powerpoint. You can do the same for Keynote, with the menu title Play Slideshow. you may have type in keynote in the search to find it. However after you do this Both will work fine. Also this works for the Logitech R400 as well which I would rate as a 5 star as well

I use this on a Macbook Pro and it works, mostly. With a little configuration, it works completely fine. Those who are quick to put this down that it does'nt work on MAC they are completly wrong. You just have to know a little bit about computers below I explain what you need to do. The first time I plugged it in, a Keyboard Assistant ran since the Mac didn't recognize the keyboard. (And just a note you might have to type in the search to find keynote.app) Then all the buttons on the remote work on the Mac for both powerpoint and keynote. Enjoy and go buy it this is an excellent price

I casually listen to my iTunes collection, Apple Music, and SoundCloud. Play:5 sounds wonderful: full, deep, rich sound, surprising bass, no distortion; Is reliable: music never skips or stalls. I replaced a pair of M-Audio computer speakers. Play:5 sounds better than any computer speakers and bookshelf speakers I have owned. Play:5 in white looks beautiful, especially with white shelving. I bought Play:5 in December 2015 when a 45-day return period was offered. I have no regrets. The only disappointment is in the controller software. Sonos Controller for Mac is like a music player from the early 2000s; Difficult to navigate; Awful for discovery. I wish I could play my iTunes collection from iTunes to Play:5 (without AirPlay). I lose over a decade of metadata gathered from my music habits. But, Play:5 sounds great.

Fantastic product, with iTunes and Spotify it has changed my whole approach to music. Along with four Play Ones, its quality of sound, reliability and flexibility has been great for round the house and garden listening as well as parties. Can't fault it !
