Great for low light Photography without a Flash. The big 1.4 Apager lets all kinds of photo's at night without the use of a Flash. A must have for every ptogerafer's Camera bag.

I do other kinds of photography but purchased this lens primarily for Real-Estate photography. I use all L lenses as they are superior in leaps and bounds no to non L lenses. This lens has been a real champ under all of the circumstances I've encountered in real-estate. I would highly recommend it.

I have struggled with using regular lights of all kinds for macro photography. The first pictures I took with the STF-8 demonstrated why I needed this product. Results were outstanding. The design is well executed. The size of the components are a bit of a challenge for someone with large (old) hands. The included case is just right to protect and organize the components. I believe this will be a very popular component for Olympus macro shooters.

I have been focusing on night photography in the historic district where I live. There are many different kinds of lights in the area which can cause odd coloration to occur during long exposure shots. This filter eliminates this issue resulting in sharp, accurate color. Very much worth its price.
