I rented one of these lenses 2 years ago for a trip to Trinidad and was pleased with the results so I just purchased one. Although my dream lens is the 300mm f/2.8 L IS II (which I rented last year for a trip to Costa Rica -- can't say enough about it!), the f/4 L is much easier to hike with, more discreet, vastly more affordable, and is sharp, with comparatively pleasing bokeh. I also own a Canon 400mm f/5.6 L (for birding/wildlife) but realized that having IS often makes the difference in getting the shot. For the price the 300mm f/4 is a very solid lens. 5 |

Picture this, Trinidad 2011: I bought a Vixia and a wireless mike system from BH Photo and the two just produced the most awful hum! And after trekking to three audio stores in Trinidad (where they sold me all sorts of cables), plus going to a professional video place (where it worked fine), one chat with BH Photo and the guy immediately identified my problem as an impedance discrepancy. Two days later, I had the LMT 100 and no more problems! ... 5 |

We have had Axis cameras since the Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute started in 1995. The cameras have stood the test of time with just a few hiccups. For some reason we were never able to view them offsite. I was pleasantly surprised and happy to learn that we could still get a licence for them and be able to view them offsite. We just have one camera that is showing blurry but we hope to replace it. With COVID 19 Pandemic the School is closed for the rest of the school year and funds are very low right now. We do have plans to replace the cameras with upgraded Axis versions in the future. 5 |
