Lacie External Hard Drive Enclosure

I have used a LaCie Rugged USB External Hard Drive as a backup device for over 10 years. This is a very reliable product. When I purchased a new computer with a Type C drive I did not hesitate to upgrade to a LaCie Type C drive knowing it would be just as reliable.

Used this drive in an Avastor HDX Pro external Hard Drive Enclosure. It was easy to install and format and has worked very well for the past three weeks at least. Am currently using it for video files with no issues.

I've been using LaCie drives for about 25 years. These drives have always been very reliable. This drive is no exception. I recently replaced my 2013 MacPro with a new Mac Studio. When I replace my machines I also replace my external hard drives. Externals don't last forever. I feel that after 5+ years it's better to be safe than sorry. I bought this drive to use to hold my main data. Data transfer was reasonably quick. Editing photos stored on this drive I have not felt data transfer is slow or unreliable. Overall I highly recommend this LaCie external hard drive.

The LaCie 2TB Rugged External Hard Drive Does what it is advertised to do. It works with ease and connected with my MacBook Pro with no issues. It was definitely use friendly and began to Back up my Mac Immediately. I have several other LaCie Rugged Hard Drives, and they are great to travel with, small light and durable. I will definitely continue with this brand.

LaCie 4TB Rugged USB-C Portable External Hard Drive Perfect for

I love this external hard drive. This is actually the 3rd one I bought from B&H. Before, I was using Lacie but I dont trust the Maxtor drives inside them. The G-Raids feature a robust Hitachi drive, internal cooling fans and a massive heat sync on the bottom. You can eave these running for weeks and they are always cool to the touch. I have also bought the MINI versions of these with no issues at all.

This was ordered with the LaCIe 4TB Mini USB 3.0 External hard drive and fits it perfectly. It provides protection from the general elements for the specified hard drive and has met all expectations thus far. I would definitely recommend this if you're purchasing the aforementioned external hard drive.

The LaCie 8TB d2 external hard drive is well-built and reliable. This is my 8th LaCie external hard drive and I've never had one fail. I feel confident backing up data on these hard drives. While these are not as fast as SSD (solid state drives), they are less likely to lose data over time (SSD's will slowly discharge over time when not used and can lose data). Fast shipping by B&H.

I use the LaCie 5TB Rugged hard drive as a backup for my faster SSD external hard drives. So far, so good. The hard drive is reliable and performs well.

I ordered and am now using a LaCie 1TB Rugged Mini external hard drive for a number of reasons: I need to be able to travel with a reasonable amount of moving image that I can share with my co-editor (also a LaCie user), so the product is not only changing hands, but also has to sustain travel, in various contexts. My first LaCie back-up drive (20 years ago?) has survived all kinds of conditions, and many years of service, so I prefer to rely on brands that have served me well! It is honestly not portable, gone are those early days of bulky, heavy equipment, at least for me! I would buy another LaCie tomorrow if needed.
