Lacie Rugged 2Tb External Solid State Drive

The LaCie 2TB Rugged External Hard Drive Does what it is advertised to do. It works with ease and connected with my MacBook Pro with no issues. It was definitely use friendly and began to Back up my Mac Immediately. I have several other LaCie Rugged Hard Drives, and they are great to travel with, small light and durable. I will definitely continue with this brand.

The LaCie 2TB Rugged SSD Pro external SSD costs more than many other drives. However, it is very well made, high capacity, and transfers data very quickly - much faster than a hard disk drive (HDD). I use them for photographic editing and enjoy the quick response and reliability. I've never had a single issue with a LaCie drive.

I have used a LaCie Rugged USB External Hard Drive as a backup device for over 10 years. This is a very reliable product. When I purchased a new computer with a Type C drive I did not hesitate to upgrade to a LaCie Type C drive knowing it would be just as reliable.

I have been very happy with LaCie External HDs for cloning my iMac computer. This 2TB drive is perfect and works like a charm with Carbon Copy Cloner to backup my iMac desktop!

I use the LaCie 5TB Rugged hard drive as a backup for my faster SSD external hard drives. So far, so good. The hard drive is reliable and performs well.

I ordered and am now using a LaCie 1TB Rugged Mini external hard drive for a number of reasons: I need to be able to travel with a reasonable amount of moving image that I can share with my co-editor (also a LaCie user), so the product is not only changing hands, but also has to sustain travel, in various contexts. My first LaCie back-up drive (20 years ago?) has survived all kinds of conditions, and many years of service, so I prefer to rely on brands that have served me well! It is honestly not portable, gone are those early days of bulky, heavy equipment, at least for me! I would buy another LaCie tomorrow if needed.

You can't go wrong with a LaCie Rugged External Hard Drive. We have purchased at least 5 of their various Rugged drives over the past 5 years and all of them are still functioning perfectly. This 5TB one is great for large storage. If you are looking for an external drive to work directly off of and need faster speed, I would suggest LaCie's SSD drives, but these are the best combination of storage and protection I've found.

I am VERY happy with my LaCie 500GB Rugged Thunderbolt External SSD drive purchased at the one and only B&H!  I am a composer and store ALL of my Orchestral Sample Libraries on the Lacies.
