Lacie Rugged Ssd 2Tb Solid State Drive

The LaCie 2TB Rugged SSD Pro external SSD costs more than many other drives. However, it is very well made, high capacity, and transfers data very quickly - much faster than a hard disk drive (HDD). I use them for photographic editing and enjoy the quick response and reliability. I've never had a single issue with a LaCie drive.

I loaded my LaCie 4TB Rugged SSD PRO with 2TB of data. Ran Blackmagic speed test and the results were still great. Write speeds: 1900 MB/s to 2000 MB/s Read speeds ranged quite a bit more than the write speeds: lowest of 1400 MB/s to highs of 2400 MB/s. I've had the smaller LaCie 2TB Rugged SSD Pro and even when it was almost full - the speeds were still really great. I'm using this LaCie 4TB on a 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Pro with 32GB RAM and 4TB internal drive.

The LaCie 2TB Rugged External Hard Drive Does what it is advertised to do. It works with ease and connected with my MacBook Pro with no issues. It was definitely use friendly and began to Back up my Mac Immediately. I have several other LaCie Rugged Hard Drives, and they are great to travel with, small light and durable. I will definitely continue with this brand.

I have 2 other LaCie Rugged drives that I love. I started purchasing them several years ago, and need an extra back up drive. These drives work great for that. So if you looking for a reliable back up drive these are the drives for you!! Ps. If you are looking for some solid SSD's I recommend LaCie Rugged SSD's as well.

I use the LaCie 5TB Rugged hard drive as a backup for my faster SSD external hard drives. So far, so good. The hard drive is reliable and performs well.

I purchased this rugged SSD Pro by LaCie for my daughter who purchased a MacBook Pro. I moved the files off the SSD then used Disk Utililty to format and partition the drive for Time Machine and Manual backups. Compared to her old SSD USB 2.0 external drive, the copy speed of the LaCie SSD was fast. It was only a few minutes and all files were copied over. She will continue to use the Rugged SSD for her backup files.

I am VERY happy with my LaCie 500GB Rugged Thunderbolt External SSD drive purchased at the one and only B&H!  I am a composer and store ALL of my Orchestral Sample Libraries on the Lacies. I currently own two of them! The Thunderbolt is blazing fast and the drive is completely silent. I highly recommend! I recently got a SanDisk 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive) and used a drive cloning device to clone my old 1TB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to the new SSD. It works wonders in my 15 year old computer! It really speeds up drive-related activities, perhaps as much as 3 or 4 times faster. I think my old HP laptop computer is either a SATA or SATA II type, so I suspect those with a SATA III system would see even better speed results when going from a HDD to a SSD. Gotta love it!

This is my third LaCie rugged drive and is still a solid performer. Also like the ability to plug it into USB 3.0 and USB-C ports as I don't need a dongle.
