I love the texture of Epson Cold Press Bright.

This was a great way to try the Epson Cold Press and Hot Press papers and compare results.

My reproductions are beautiful because I use Epson cold press paper and Epson 87 inks.

I've used Epson Signature Worthy paper for years. My preference is Cold Press Bright and Cold Press Natural.

Ordering the Epson Cold Press Bright - Textured matte paper, I knew what I was getting myself into, continuing to be happy I followed through.

This is a beautiful paper to print on, though very textured. I like it only slightly more than Epson Cold Press Natural, as it seems to be a bit more receptive to finer details, and appears slightly sharper when comparing prints of the same file. At the same time, I wouldn't use this paper as my go to, as I believe the heavy texture works best with certain types of images. A great paper to have in the drawer for printing the right image!

We use hot press for many of our fine art prints. Any image where the texture of cold press would be a problem will be printed on hot press bright or natural. These papers are heavy and have real substance to them. They have nice smooth surfaces and show the color very well.

I purchased sample packages of Epson Signature Worthy and Legacy papers to evaluate and compare the differences between the papers. After printing identical color and monochrome images on my Epson P900 printer using Epson ICC profiles and comparing the results of the papers, I discovered (to my surprise) that they all looked the same. The primary differences noted were; that some of the papers had a semi-gloss finish (Exhibition Fiber and Ultra Premium Luster), others were matte (Hot Press Bright, Hot Press Natural, Cold Press Bright, Cold Press Natural and Velvet Fine Art) as well as the papers thickness, composition, and tonality showed some variance. I would strongly suggest that printers do a comparison and then determine which paper(s) would suit their needs. The sample packs are the best way to do these comparisons at a reasonable price.

If you want to print snow or other scenes that are the brightest white , this is the paper for you. It has just enough texture without looking like cold press watercolor paper, it is printable on both sides, and my old Epson 2880 printer accepts it in the top and rear (thick paper) feeds. Depending on your subject matter, you can opt for other brands and paper types.
