Lan Switch Router

I have a Modem, Router, LAN Switch, CRT TV, HDTV, 14 gaming consoles, and a VCR hooked up on this. It has been amazing at both consolidating space & allowing me to keep everything plugged in. No issues when turning on devices, especially after having issues with a previous power strip. Strip has a reset with 15 Amp circuit breaker. My apartment was built in 1924, so it's been helpful with the bad elwctricity. *I didn't utilize the mount bracket. 5 |

Super-fast, small and efficient. What else would anyone want in a switch. Eliminates the bottleneck of a router for fast LAN interactivity and backups. Plug-and-play and the price is right. B&H is great to deal with. Received quickly in perfect condition. 5 |

Currently using it for subnetting muy LAN using VLANs. It has worked without issues together with my pfSense router/firewall. Good buy. 5 |

We recently had fiber installed in our neighborhood. I have been using a WRT54GL with dd-wrt for years, but I knew my router would cause me to lose most of the speed I would gain when I went to fiber. I bought the WRT3200ACM because the specs looked good. Although I have not switched from cable to fiber yet, the performance on my LAN is blazing compared to my trusty WRT54GL. I move a good bit of data over my LAN with backups and sharing large documents. Jobs that used to take 10 minutes are completing in less than 1 minute. I love the 2 bands as well. I am very pleased with all aspects of this new router. I will say if you are cramped for space, the WRT3200ACM has a larger footprint. I have also noticed a significant improvement in Wi-Fi. Since I do not use Wi-Fi much, that was not a deciding factor for me. 5 |

For under $60, this EdgeRouter X is easily the best bang for your buck when it comes to routers. Theres more functions that youll probably ever need to use and configure. I created a VLAN for my guest users to isolate my LAN devices -- my guests are on 192.168.2.1/24 whereas myself and LAN devices are on 192.168.1.1/24. This router is not plug-n-play per se, although it is defaulted as a switch, you will still need to tinker around the web interface (or SSH) to get the most use of the router. Highly recommended to the novice/advanced users with networking knowledge, might be a bit too technical for the beginners. 5 |

Only need 10gbps to connect my Synology to computer for fast LAN transfers. I use this downstream from my router and everything works as expected. Great unmanaged switch for 10gbps. 5 |

Plugged it into the the LAN (towards the router) and the other port towards the Ubiquiti bridge (ports are clearly marked) and it worked perfectly. I did add ESD protection with a driven ground between the bridge and this device, but am pretty sure this device stated it also provides that protection. I bought a spare to be safe, but suspect it will not be needed as build quality appears excellent. Thanks for selling a quality product! 5 |

As more and more smart devices were being added to my small office network, the ISP provided ZyXel VMG4380 router seemed to be struggling and was having issues with stability. This required a reset to resolve which was inconvenience when miles from the office. The small office didn’t need much so I looked at the TP-Link R600VPN and Ubiquiti ERLite3 as inexpensive replacements that seemed to meet my requirements. I ran across the ER-4 and liked that, for a little more money, its upgraded CPU and memory would provide more margin for higher speed connections and make it a bit more future proof. The router seems like a solid well built unit, nothing flashy just a couple small status lights, functional. The power supply is built in, no external power brick. We have PPPoe on our fibre connection, and once the proper credentials were entered and easy setup run, it was basically plug and play. It been performing well for the month we’ve had it installed. It runs just warm not hot, and is silent. Seems to be loafing. You do have to go out on the web to Ubiquiti for the user manual, which is detailed ,and there is extensive set up advise on the web (including a couple excellent YouTube videos). It is not any harder to set up than any other router, just a slightly different language. For most the easy setup will get you going. Then add port forwarding rules and static LAN IP assignments in the router’s DHCP server if you need them. It has two LAN ports which can be independent or bridged. I have a 16 port switch so I just use one LAN port. Its overkill for the office, but nice to know it can handle more throughput if we eventually choose to upgrade. 5 |
