This purchase of an arm was for my laptop. I have a super clamp on my desk with the short arm attached. Laptop tray at the end of the arm. 5 |

Was looking around for a solution to place a laptop on a tray off to the side of a table at a low price. I've already got an Ergotron arm for my display and though their sit-stand laptop tray/arm solution looks great, was overkill for what I wanted. This On-Stage laptop mount does the job at an attractive price. I'm using it with both an 11 MacBook Air and 13 MacBook Pro. The tray's bottom and side tabs hold the laptop securely enough that it won't slip off even if bumped a bit. I ended up mounting it to a table leg by re-purposing a seldom used Manfrotto Super Clamp and Manfrotto 244 Variable Friction Magic Arm. Granted, all those items combined cost more than some of the laptop arm/tray solutions... but since I already had the Manfrotto items, was looking just for a tray. Also needed a 5/8 male thread adapter for the bottom connection of the tray. I bought B&H item # KMTAZCTD and used a short double-end male stud/spigot to connect between the arm and tray. An equivalent would be B&H # IMSRP109 but there might be other more elegant solutions out there... 5 |

When I recently purchased a new mini computer to replace my 8 year old desk top tower PC I knew I would have to also purchase an external cd/dvd drive because I am constantly ripping my ever growing cd collection into my computer so I can put the music on a portable 2TB hard drive for my car, which no longer has a cd player. I had purchased a couple of the usual external disc drives that do not fully eject the tray and you have to pull it out by hand and push it back in, which is a totally pain especially since they are so light weight and you also have to hold the unit down with your other hand while you push the tray back in so it won't move around... totally inconvenient for the amount of discs I knew I would be putting in and ejecting out of the drive. Luckily, I found this awesome unit on B&H and have been thrilled with it from the second I plugged it in. It stays exactly where I want it on my desk, smoothly ejects and pulls back in the tray, and has WAY faster read speeds than the cheap flimsy drives I used before purchasing this great device. I knew I wasn't going to need a blu ray drive so I saved a few dollars from buying this unit which is just for, since it won't read blu ray discs. Within a couple of weeks of receiving this I have already been able to rip a few hundred cds from my collection in the short amount of time I get to do this task, and the portable drive for my car is getting filled up fast with the music I enjoy listening to. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and worth every penny. 5 |

I bought this for my son. His desk is not very big and so with this stand we were able to get his monitor and laptop off the table which freed up a lot of space on the desks surface. He loves it. Installation was very easy. Took us about 15 minutes. 5 |

my laptop is my main computer and I keep it on my desk. after a long day, my neck hurts from bending it to see the low screen. this is the perfect height for me. you do need to use a keyboard and mouse with it 5 |

I think I've purchased about 3 of these - for home computer, work computer, laptop, and recommended to a friend or two. For me, it's better than a mouse because: 1) you don't move your wrist around, you move your fingers instead. So for me, no wrist stress no repetitive motion problems. Can't say that it avoids carpel tunnel, but I think if you keep your wrist straight it can. 2) Less desk space required, and no bumping into other things on the desk. 3) More precise for things like cad. The movements are independent of the button pushing, so it's easy to be precise. I've used this on Linux and various versions of Windows, all work great. The best combination? A laptop that has a touchscreen. They you can pick between the touchscreen with a stylus for drawing, and this for other work. 5 |

Absolutely love it, the USB ports on our HP laptop, which is used as our main computer, I.e. Desk top, are on the sides under the curve. A little out of the way. The 4-Port hub allows me to plug and remove flash drives with ease. Come income tax time I'll have plenty of ports to handle additional drives. 5 |
