Laptop Computer Power Jack

I bought a used Lenovo W510 laptop which had a combined headphone/mic jack. Nice computer, but I wanted to use it with Audacity to make digital recordings. This unit is inexpensive, plugs in and works just great. Small enough to carry it in the bag with the laptop. 93 dB s/n ratio gives clean, quiet recordings. Recommend to anybody who gets a computer with combined headphone/mic jack.

Sounds were coming from my laptop computer but not from the sound jack. This device solved my problem and now I can get wonderful sound to go through my movie protector. This device is great!

It gives full and good resolution. I installed the driver from the website and it was very smooth process. It has vents so doesn't really overheat. The dock does require its own power adapter which is what provides all the power to the ports and also includes laptop charging. Definitely great for those that need the extra monitors or great for remote work/travelling. Put one of these “power strips” in your trunk or shop immediately for use when you need to have your phone charger or laptop computer connected when you’re also using power tools that throw huge (inductive) spikes back into the line. These are ruggedized and have the requisite rubber boots on each end to protect things should they fall off your workbench. Most cheaper devices are not as well designed or constructed as this one.

We don't currently own a field generator, so I purchased this voltage inverter to power a field teleprompter and, at times, a laptop computer. It does both perfectly well. Previously I had another battery unit that only came with a single proprietary rechargeable battery included with it. So, when the battery died it sent the crew scrambling to find an electrical outlet and run very long extension cords (which isn't always possible in the field). Since I already have multiple V-Mount batteries for cameras and LED lighting fixtures, I can just swap out batteries quickly if one dies. Great solution! No more production delays or concerns that the teleprompter won't make it through the day. I'm actually looking to purchase another one because there is only one outlet on the unit (the only downside). This would allow me to power both our teleprompter and laptop computer simultaneously in the field. I thought the unit was going to be made of 100% plastic per the picture, so I was surprised to find out that the body (other than the actual V-Mount plate) is made out of metal. Another positive! That being said, the unit isn't very heavy which is less load to pack and carry in the field (the weight will come from your V-Mount battery(s)). It's just what I was looking for!

Used as backup power supply and surge suppressor for computer, laptop, etc. Good investment for the money.

Just plug it into an XLR jack on a mixer and turn on Phantom Power on the mixer to power it, and it connects to any device I have, very quickly. Not stereo. It has a power supply jack on the side of it, in case your mixer or connection doesn't have Phantom Power.

Works perfectly out of headphone jack on windows 10 computer

It is very useful and I am getting use to it. It's different from the laptop computer. But I like it. Thanks.
