Laptop Computers For Simple Internet Browsing

I am learning to enjoy my ASUS 15.6 Vivobook. It is a replacement for my nearly 14 year old laptop that has seen better days. I am on a limited budget, but I didn't want mediocre specs that would be outdated in 6 months. I do mainly internet browsing, some productivity work (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.), some low intensity gaming, and on occasion some video editing for my socials. Bottom line - You should probably get one while qtys and pricing are good. Pros - It has the specs I wanted (i9 CPU, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) at a great price. More than enough computing power for gaming, casual internet browsing, and the occasional homework/essay. It included FREE 2-Day Shipping - I am on the West Coast. Screen colors are vibrant, keyboard is keyboard-y with backlit keys. The laptop itself is not the lightest out there, but is hardly the boat anchor ROG ASUS I still own that is on its last legs. It's offered thru a reputable dealer. Cons (ish) - Only 1920x1080 resolution and no touchscreen. I haven't really encountered any other negatives so far. It's been a while since I purchased MY own laptop. To be transparent, I have helped recommend and even purchased several laptops over the years for my family and friends. My previous-current laptop is a still-running ASUS G51J (i7 CPU 1st Gen, 6GB RAM, 500GB 2.5 HDD) - battery doesn't charge, but still works plugged in. I purchased it from B&H also circa 2010. Being a frugal tinkerer myself, but wanting the best value for my budget, I researched and compared several buying sources including big box stores, national (U.S.) retail chains and even Amazon, but I still chose B&H. Even though I am on the West Coast, I still found value in the products they offer as well as the service and buying experience. Did I mention FREE 2-Day shipping from the East Coast (NY). We've been using Kaspersky for many years and it has slowed down our internet browsing all too often. Decided to go with Bitdefender and low and behold our Internet runs fast and most of all its easy to setup and does everything its representation holds. Kudos to the best Anti-virus software out there. Enexpensive too.

U til my laptop is noticeably slow. Time for upgrade and I have used this to improve my laptop performance. Once installed, I was right to use this, and I have noted significant improvement on processing, speed on apps, very low lag on editing video. I didn't have to buy a new laptop. Highly recommended

Bought this for my wife, who needed a new Mac laptop. She primarily uses a computer for browsing the Ethernet, doing Word documents, etc.. She loves the bigger screen and the M2 MacBook Air is pretty snappy for what she does. I loved the price over a MacBook Pro that wasn't needed for her use.In fact I have learned that I don't need the most powerful Mac computer for 95% of my usage.

I have used several types of laptop computers, but Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is more than I expected :)
