Laptop Dual Boot Windows Linux

This machine does everything I need at a great price. I can dual boot Windows and Linux, I can use an external monitor at 144hz through the USB-C port, audio out port is on the left, and getting into the device for upgrades is super easy--adding a second drive was simple. Personally I would prefer a larger keyboard without the 10 key on the side. The monitor is great for the price, but if you want better colors, you'll want to spend more on something else. I keep my chat windows open on the laptop monitor when I'm plugged into an external display, so it's no biggie for me. The WiFi radio it comes with is also a cheap one. Linux had no issues with it, but Windows 11 wouldn't connect to it sometimes. So, I swapped it out for one from Wise Tiger with an Intel AX210 and it works great now! Yes I would buy again and shipping from B&H got here fast! 5 |

I got this enclosure to dual boot Windows on my iMac with an SSD. The installation of the SSD is incredibly easy and fast, just be careful of when you put the SSD in to do it at an upward angle until the SSD slots in without forcing it. After the SSD was seated the enclosure easily closed up and it was ready for use. There is a thermal pad to transfer heat to the case which acts as a large heat sink. So far with constant use and installing a bunch of software on it all at once, the case has only slightly warmed to the touch. There really is no need to worry about overheating because even under a constant load the case does a good job of drawing the heat away. For the price it is a great option. 5 |

I work with two Kubuntu 12.04 Linux workstations continuously connected, and a Windows 7 employer's Lenovo 530 laptop that I connect every evening on returning home and disconnect every morning when heading to work (via a Lenovo docking station continuously connected). My monitors are dual Dell 3007 2560x1600 dual-link DVI, keyboard Avant Stellar (PCI connector via USB adapter), with a Microsoft wireless mouse. When using the laptop, I can use its screen in addition to the two Dells. I can switch among these seamlessly. I even have the less-used Linux workstation normally sleeping, as it wakes up properly as soon as I select it. A nice touch is that one Dual-Link DVI cable of each pair has the USB and audio cables integrated into it, keeping the wiring rat's nest manageable. The only annoyance is that, inevitably, because the external monitor configuration for the Windows 7 Lenovo 530 at the office differs, I need to reposition some windows when moving between home and office. But once I got the Windows configuration set up properly, the laptop at least automatically recognizes which monitor configuration it's connected to. (Because the DVI outputs of the Lenovo docking station are single-link, it's necessary to use its HDMI outputs and interpose Accel HDMI to Dual DVI converters between it and the MiniView.) 5 |

Bluetooth pairs well with Windows or Linux on my laptop, and the USB adapter provides reliable fallback. The mouse fits my large hands, feels solid, and responds smoothly. 5 |

Bought a second to use with the laptop. Works on everything I've plugged it into - linux, windows, etc. Makes cad work much easier, easier on the wrist for me, and works where you don't have a reliable surface for a mouse. On my HP laptop, I can intermix touchpad, this trackball, and touch screen all at the same time...very cool. 5 |

SN750 or SN850 will do you well. I installed this as the primary OS drive on my laptop. I run Windows and Linux on it no problem. It is quick, and doesn't seem to overheat even in the small space. I like that it comes with TLC memory, so it should last. Comes with a good warranty. 5 |

I upgraded the hard drive in my main business laptop (a dual-core 17.3 Windows 7 Pro machine) with this SSD and the difference in performance is dramatic! 5 |
