Laptop Headphones With Mic Single Jack

Works nice to split a combo laptop single mic and headphone jack into two separate ports. Ports are clearly labeled as to which is the mic input and which is the headphone input. Simple but functional.

My headphone jack was broken on my admittedly old laptop. This enabled me to still use headphones for a small cost, and not replace the whole computer. I can also confirm that it works via a USB hub.

I am 20yo and an aspiring sound producer. I listen to a vast amount of music and just about everything I can find to play on these headphones. From usage in my studio projects to simple leisurely activities (games, music) these headphones are very strong assets. There is excellent outside noise rejection and cancellation once you start playing something. You'd have to wave your hands or cause a tremor in the room to let me know you're trying to get my attention. These headphones are powerful and comfortable, and I love to use them for absolutely everything I am able to use headphones to listen to. It even came with a handy PreSonus draw-sack, although the drawstrings quickly broke within a month or less of day-to-day usage. The only drawbacks for me were: (1.) the result of an accident that occurred where the headphones were plugged into a laptop and the laptop got knocked over onto the side of the audio jack, bending into and ruining my laptop's audio jack input, as well as the headphone's jack. The fall was less than two feet off the ground yet the impact was large enough to cause such damage. (2.) The cord is way too long for my style of usage when not in my studio. I find myself having to coil the string up in my pocket whenever I'm mobile. However, that's clearly not the type of usage it was intended for when it was made. Personal mishaps and usage habits aside, these headphones are awesome, and are an excellent buy for the asking price.

When the phone jack for my over-priced headphones broke off inside my laptop at a crucial point in composing music, and the agjustable head strap on the cheap headphone with USB cord broke soon after purchase, I decided bluetooth would be the way to go. I quickly found my JBL TUNE 720BT at a good price point. I should have Should have done this first. Thet are on my head sometimes literally all day. No cords to break, fast battery charge which has a long life seamless trustworthy performance. I'm free of sound issues on any of the platforms i am using.

This is the perfect mic for recording a Skype interview. Here's how: Connect the mic's usb output to your computer. In the settings, select the Q2U as your incoming and outgoing sound card. Do the same in Skype. Connect the mic's headphone jack to a dedicated recorder like the Zoom H4, H5 or H6, in channel 1, using an 1/8 to 1/4 cord (or either one with an adaptor on one end). Run the XLR cord from the mic to channel 2 on the recorder. Connect your headphones to the recorder's headphone jack. Make sure the remote guest uses headphones too and both parties have no live speakers. When you're done, you will have a stereo recording with the guest's voice on one channel and your voice on the other. Edit in post as needed with a free DAW like Audacity. You can even sync with video.

I bought a used Lenovo W510 laptop which had a combined headphone/mic jack. Nice computer, but I wanted to use it with Audacity to make digital recordings. This unit is inexpensive, plugs in and works just great. Small enough to carry it in the bag with the laptop. 93 dB s/n ratio gives clean, quiet recordings. Recommend to anybody who gets a computer with combined headphone/mic jack.

Great for converting from headphones to XLR jack.

I have been using this product for a few weeks. It allows me to connect separate headphones and microphone to my laptop with a single jack for both. I have also tested it on my iPhone and works well for the same purpose. The product comes in a nice little bag and is very small and discrete. The cable is well made, both sturdy and flexible. The connectors fit well and hold cables nicely. The only issue I have is the images one the ends indicating microphone port and headphone port are hard to read. Not a big issue as once you figure it out you are likely to leave everything connected. So far I am happy with this product and will use it regularly. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Every once in a while you are still going to need a headphone jack adapter for music or a mic.

This mic makes a huge difference in audio quality over the built-in mic in my laptop or headphones. When you're working from home, it relaly helps to have a quality mic which makes your voice more understandable. It's very reasonably priced for what it does, and is true plug and play - no drivers are software needed.
