Photographing 24 x 14 inch core boxes of rock is great. I use a Quadrapod copy stand and can lower the lens to about 8 inches above the target and easily capture 24 x14 inch drill core boxes. The Zeiss lens is high enough resolution to allow the little APS-C format sensor to capture enough information so I can digitally blow up the rock imagery enough to recognize changes in rock type and chemical alteration. The 5 meg limit makes uploads for comparison of detail impossible. Sorry. 5 |

It has the Intel Core Ultra 7 16 core processor, touch screen, thunderbolt USB-C (2 ports) along with 2 USB-A 3.2 ports, SD card reader and Intel ARC 8 Core graphics. The screen is super bright at 400 nits. Weight is a mere 2.91 pounds and the battery lasts anywhere between 8 to10 hours. All these features at the price of $749. I picked out the i3 quad core mini with 8GB of RAM with the intention of using it as a media center computer to drive my 4K tv. Even though it is a pretty low spec the machine is very snappy and can display 4k60 video for hours without any hiccups. I was a little worried about whether 8GM of RAM would be enough, but so far the system only uses about 6-7GB of RAM for my needs. The computer never gets that warm and I can't hear any fan noise when sitting about 8 feet away from it. 5 |
