I already had the VLC media player ap installed on my windows 10 laptop, so when I plugged this into my USB port straight from the box, it was recognized and functioned immediately. If your computer doesn't have a driver, Transcend provides one free, but you must download one in order to use external drives--perhaps that's why some users claim their player wouldn't work? 5 |

The pre-amp works great. Just got it, hooked up with no issues and have recorded multiple albums. Better than directly connecting a receiver to the laptop. Works with Windows 10. Windows 10 automatically detects it and starts up the proper USB audio codec. Found I needed to use my normal sound device for playback with my Toshiba laptop. B&H once again delivers quickly.
