Large Clear Smarty Backpack Labor Day Sale 2022

Going on a 10-day, 2,200 mile trip over Labor Day, I purchased a cheap handlebar phone mount thinking I was all set. However, on Day 3, the spring clamp inside the thing broke and I was about 800 miles into the trip....UGH!! Bought this when I got home, and I must say this IS the one to buy. Rugged and easy clamping, it is well worth the $.

Perfect use in a Shimoda E30 backpack. I had purchased a large unit (through the intro sale) and found it too bulky and too restrictive. The medium works perfectly and I can see the virtues of the design by Shimoda. I now use the large Core Unit for storage of my lenses in my office.

Perfect for me, the workmanship is very delicate, it is very comfortable to carry, and it is very labor-saving. You will not feel any pressure on your back. The backpack has a very large space, and it is very convenient to DIY the compartments.

I would never risk using any other card on my Sony FX6. The camera was designed for this card. Why would I want to jeopardize a day's labor on something cheaper.

I took this backpack on a recent 2 day trip and it was perfect. The capacity was good and the size isn't so large that I didn't regret leaving the roller suitcase at home. I took advantage of the expansion zipper. The way it expands is very nice because it doesn't make the entire bag sag. The pack stayed snugly on my back and it actually made it MORE stable when setting it on the ground. The outside straps were perfect for carrying my jacket. I like this better than trying to cram a bulky jacket inside and sacrificing storage space. I was able to easily carry a laptop and iPad in the padded pocket.

I have been looking for a backpack that I could use for day hiking and take with me to Antarctica that was not too large but fitted in my 70-200mm f2.8 Canon lens. I was very pleased when it arrived to be able to fit the lens in (not attached to the camera). There is plenty of space in this bag for gear to fit in and be able to carry some food and some spare layers. My small travel tripod fits on the side perfectly. Looking forward to using this lots in the future.

The one downfall is I wish I bought 2 more during the B&H 1 day sale
