This is a great easy to use slate. I use a dry erase with an eraser on the end so I can adjust and update quick and easy.

I needed hangers to hold up dry erase boards on cubicle walls and these work perfect.

I bought this to contain the Pearstone Acrylic Dry Erase Clapboard with Color Sticks (7x7.25) and it works perfectly. Even holds quite a few markers inside.

Pretty sturdy, excellent for writing on with dry-erase markers. Easily wipes clean. The clapboard mechanism is a bit sketchy, but it's what you'd expect with a product at this price level. But if you're careful it'll last quite a long time.

This is an excellent production slate for those that aren't using state-of-the-art time code equipment in production and post. It produces a solid clap for manual video/audio sync and the color and luminosity reference marks are valuable in post. BUT BUT BUT Even though Birns & Sawyer say it's dry-erase compatible, it's not. I used bog standard Expo dry erase markets on it and needed to make a correction 10 seconds later. It would not come off with either water or alcohol-based solvents. Elbow grease doesn't work. Dry erase chemically bonds with acrylic surface. If this happens to you, don't panic. It *can* be removed with a micro-abrasive sponge like Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Use something like this before using your fingernail or scratching it. Otherwise this is a wonderful little slate which is highly functional and impresses the clients :-).

Nothing much to say. I've always wanted one. Dry erase works great and the slate isn't too loud when clapped. Did my first tail slate yesterday!

I use this case to store my Elvid Slate, Dry Erase Markers, and Eraser. It keeps everything safe and easy to transport for all my productions in one place.

This clapper has good visiblity creates a good audible reference between the reference mic and the main mix mic for easy alignment between audio and video. This is being used with DSLR Video recored to off camera tascam. The white background allows for good dry erase maker use and has plenty of space to denote camera settings, Media settings, scenes and takes, although lacks compressive layout for DSLR shots. You have to be a little creative for the dry erase blocks.

A calendar whiteboard fell off the wall and knocked over my $1500 studio monitor. Luckily, I had apple care. Apple fixed it in 3 days and I had to pay a $99 deductible. Without apple care they charge $999 which is ridiculous of Apple imo, but glad I had the AppleCare+. I have it on all my apple gear and always will. This doesn't change my mind on warranties outside of apple though. Talking to you Ram and Maytag...

Although the setup with a Chromebit is apparently unsupported, it works reasonable well, making it into a wall-mounted Google-calendar appliance. Turn the monitor on, and the calendar is displayed in less than 2 secs.
