This is a surprisingly strong magnetic base. At the moment it is holding my workshop face shield and magnifying headband from a 22 VIDpro Flex-arm mount horizontally mounted (sticking out not up!). It seems to be a rubber coated steel disk with 6 rare earth mags. 5 |

I really like what Kase has done with their magnetic filters! It doesn't get much easier than this and the quality seems to be holding up well (I have several other Kase filters I use for other lenses). The only comment I have is the vignette, which if you're like me doesn't count many points off because I usually prefer a vignette in my photos. However, there are times where I don't want the vignette and that could be an issue for some. For me, I just remove the vignette in photoshop and move on. For the price and ease of use this is a great buy. Go for it! 5 |
