Laser Printer Advantages Over Inkjet

Love my laser printer to no end. Dependable and reliable. Costs me so much less than inkjet printers.

It's great to have toner instead of inkjet cartridges. Glad these are still available for an older model laser printer.

Im very happy with this printer.  I typically prefer the crisper printing, particularly with images, of an inkjet.  But the cost of inkjet cartridges on my Epson was too high, so I thought I would try a color laser again.  I have not been particularly happy with the color laser printers I have had in the past.  However, this one is a very solid build, pulls the paper straight, prints text extremely well and graphics good enough for me.  Paper curling is not bad at all and it takes additional paper trays.

This is my first impression and first ownership of a color laser printer which I purchased on the recommendation of the Office Depot Sales Representative. Easy to use, a bit bigger and louder than an inkjet but lower long term cost investment for toner supplies, so over time, less cost and better product and delivery than inkjet printer. Also, it takes a little time to recover if it gets hot from a massive job.

This paper is mostly for copy but it also works perfect with inkjet printer and laser printer. I like it very much because, besides, the quality it doesn't jump.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using an older model ink jet multi-function printer in our home for quite some time, and we originally only wanted a laser printer to replace it... But we also wanted color which is not as easy to find in an affordable laser model. My husband suggested trying the HP Smart Tank 5101 All-in-One Printer. I was apprehensive due to the printer being an inkjet, but we gave it a shot. My goodness, the print quality on this MFP is fantastic. Way better than I expected, it uses hardly any ink and the paper doesn't warp with the ink printing like some other inkjet printers. The colors are vibrant and I love that I can view how low the ink is getting easily through the windows on the front of the printer. The prints are miles better than my last printer and I'll never look back!! Be careful, the ink refills are supposed to be leak-proof if they fall over, but my husband try to show off this feature to me by shaking an ink bottle upside down and got black ink everywhere ? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always had an inkjet printer but man this brother laser printer is so fast. The quality is good as well. This is a mono printer so if needing color this isn’t for you.

We spent years trying to find a quality inkjet printer and finally made the jump to a color laser printer. This printer has been easy to use, connected to all my computers and phones with no effort and has been overall fantastic.

This is the third or fourth printer we have bought. We moved up from the inkjet to laser. We don't use fax these days but have used almost every other feature of this and love how simple it is to scan both sides of a document at the same time, and also the automatic printing (duplex) of multiple pages. We aren't a heavy user so don't know how longevity will be but our last one was well over 8 years old and was still going strong so I expect this will do the same if not even more so! I don't know that this printer is missing any features I could want in the future so I hope it is the last one I need to buy.
