Latency Aptx Bluetooth Transmitter And Headphones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set up was fairly easy and I was able to pair different types of Bluetooth headphones so that's a great win. The sound will obviously vary depending on the Bluetooth speakers or headphones you are using. I didn't notice any latency but your results could be different to mine. As you can see from the images that I have added the transmitter is very minimalistic and almost takes up no space at all. The transmitter will do only that transmit. For volume controls, you will have to rely on the volume control or your Bluetooth device.

I have been using these headphones for nearly three months now. They are excellent and work as advertised. I purchased these primarily for the noise cancelling and for calls and video conferencing working from home. They deliver. People are unaware I'm on a headset when I'm using them. Once they have been paired with a device, they connect to them automatically and quickly. I have a total of four devices paired with them and switching is seamless. I have only two minor issues with them: As others have reported: i have what I think are average sized ears but they touch the inner fabric of the cups regardless of how I adjust them. It's not a deal breaker, but it is annoying. Just a minor increase in depth would fix this. The other is with the lack of aptX and aptX Low Latency support. For me, this impacts the quality of my experience with Bluetooth transmitters connected from other devices such as my Sony television and Bluray player when watching and listening to movies or television programs. The latency delay is quite noticeable. I would like to appeal to Sony to include this Codec in a future firmware update.

In my experience in doing Video Production in the past many years, most of the clients care only about the outcome and how quickly you able to show them the result. Especially when you need to share a video screen to clients to view in real-time. Video Transmitter is something you got to have in your gearbox all the time. Some of the video transmitters cost easily around several thousand dollars and some are cheap with great latency. Recently I found the Benbox video transmitter, it like another product that I already own. But I would like to give it a try. Below It’s my personal feedback and I would like to share it with anyone that may help you to make a decision if you are looking for one right now or you like to get something like this as a backup… Here’s what I like about Benbox Video Transmitter. It is very affordable for any other similar unit out there. It is a solid construction with all metal. Easy to operate, lightweight, Long battery life, exceptionally low latency around 8 to 9 fame. It can connect to your camera and adjust the camera sitting. Also, the Benbox able to view on your phone, iPad, tablet, desktop, and laptop computer. But another brand only on the app but not on the desktop. This feature is helpful when you only have a laptop and use it to show the client and other crew members. I hope this info will give you some help!

There is literally no latency when recording a podcast, especially when recording a phone call via Bluetooth. The sound is crystal clear

I like the zero latency with which I can listen to audio from the movie playing on my big screen TV over Bluetooth, and I certainly appreciate the longevity of the battery. I hang them up on the lamp on my bed stand overnight so they are easy to find in the morning

I received my SRS-NS7 from B&H about a week ago and was totally hooked on it within an hour of starting to use it. However I want to offer some strong advice to those who plan to use one of these while watching TV alongside other viewers. My wife and I normally sit about 12 ft from our TV monitor and typically sit close enough that we rub shoulders. We have a Sonos soundbar under the monitor, with surround sound speakers at each end of our loveseat. I wear hearing aids but Patty does not. The optical output of the TV goes to a splitter with one output going to the soundbar and the other going to the Bluetooth transmitter for the SRS-NS7. With the arrangement described above, we both heard sound from the soundbar and the NS7, and there was enough latency difference to irritate us both. I have a technical background and had anticipated such a latency effect, but had no knowledge of the actual delays with either device. I spoke with an audio expert at B&H, asking for advice about a variable delay device that has optical input(s) and output(s). He could not recommend such a device that is currently available from B&H but did suggest a Felston DD740 that B&H used to carry. I looked up the characteristics of the DD740 and agreed that it seemed to be exactly what I needed. I purchased one from LipFix.com, after talking with their Nick Johnson. It arrived yesterday. After connecting my new DD740 in series with the optical input to the Bluetooth transmitter of the SRS-NS7 and experimenting with the delay, I found that a delay of 55mS yields NO perceptible latency effects that interfere with either what Patty and I hear while watching TV. The bottom line: We both enjoy hearing REALLY EXCELLENT sound, including very clear dialogue, while watching TV together AND I get the benefit of superb sound while editing videos etc. with the SRS-NS7 connected to the Bluetooth of my computer systems. I could not be happier with this purchase! Pete

These are just as great as my ATH-M50's and add an EXTREMELY low latency bluetooth mode. Super comfortable, classy audio quality, and low end that slaps.

I heard about these headphones and the promise of low latency for awhile, but it wasn't until Logic Pro for iPad came out that I wanted to find out if the hype was for real. Thankfully, the answer is yes. It's astounding to me how it is that I can tap the screen with a virtual instrument, or use a MIDI controller, even my wireless Xkey Air keyboard with Bluetooth LE, and be able to both play and record in real-time and wirelessly. To me, this is the holy grail, as far as mobile music production goes. I see myself using it in my hoe studio too when the need calls for it, but to me this is game-changing. At first, I was intimidated that the headphones arrived unassembled, which was a challenge for me due to vision issues. But I was able to put the pieces together, and I gotta say that this is really elegant. To me, it's worth every penny.
