Latest Outlaw Audio 2 Channel Stereo Receiver

Decided to get back into basic 2 channel stereo as my wave radio just couldn’t get it done. Took the plunge, picked up this receiver and two of the Sony 3 way bookshelf speakers. Wow the power and clarity from the Bluetooth streaming is amazing. Needless to say a CD player and a phono ( which each exceeded the price of the speakers and this receiver) were quickly added on. If your looking to get back into vinyl or just enjoy CDs or streaming to the Bluetooth you can’t go wrong with this receiver. 5 |

I needed a quick fix for a 35 year old 2 channel stereo receiver that was getting older. I went for this Sony and I'm very satisfied that I did. It stepped right in where the old Denon left off. It has all that I need for music listening. Set up was straightforward and it plays just wonderfully through the Polk Bookshelves and Subwoofer. I'm not a dedicated audiophile, but this receiver with its specs and pricing makes me very happy. I would not hesitate to purchase this receiver again. It does the job very efficiently. 5 |

I purchased two pairs. One for use with my wife's compact SONY receiver and for me coupled to my Outlaw retro receiver 2150 and an MK 10" subwoofer. Previously I had a pair of Tannoy Proto J's and those were great, but the SONY's are fine for a home office system. Actually more efficient than the Tannoy's. 5 |

We needed this to have the availability of sending multiple stereo dual channel audio outputs for live streaming and this did the trick to help with the audio 5 |

I am delighted with my purchase of the Rolls HA43 - 4 Channel Stereo Headphone Amplifier. It is perfect for my application of connecting multiple numbers of stereo headphones to my Shure SCM268 microphone mixer by using its unbalanced RCA aux level output with an RCA Y-adapter 3-foot splitter cable. The cable I use has 1 RCA Male connector that splits to 2 RCA Male connectors and produces equal levels of audio in both channels for each headphone connected to the amplifier. This setup allows my students to monitor the audio being picked up by a variety of microphones and sent to a DSLR camera that records the video for student productions. Its electronics are quiet and provides a clear signal that enables listeners to detect hiss and interference problems during recording sessions. The Rolls HA43 is a handy and versatile little piece of equipment in monitoring audio. 5 |

In my first review I said that only having a mono channel was a serious design flaw in this system. Unfortunately, I displayed my ignorance of professional audio. Using my prior Sennheiser systems, I thought that my lav mic was stereo and that therefore I was getting a stereo signal. I was wrong. It is a mono lav mic that Sennheiser converts to a left and right channel (or a single mono channel to sound like stereo) and then I hear stereo. But this happens in the background so my lack of audio knowledge thought it was a stereo signal that I saw on my video editor and/or my DAW. Sony does the same thing; it creates a single mono track for each of the two (or more) transmitters and leaves it up me as the user to determine how I want to change the signal to a left and right track. I use Fairlight in DaVinci Resolve and there are three very easy and quick ways to convert the single mono channel to stereo or a L/R mono channel. If you don't know how to do this, check out many videos on YT. Hope this helps someone. I pulled out a few hairs figuring this out with the help of the Pro Audio guys at B&H - super big shoutout to them! As a result of my ignorance I've upgraded my review to 5 stars - and another 5 for the B&H Pro Audio guys 5 |

I use this in reverse of normal use in that I use it to take a stereo feed out of an audio board and convert it to a mono feed that I can record onto one channel of my audio recorder. 5 |

This receiver is truly nothing short of excellent, it replaced a Yamaha RX-V4A which was so bad that I have regretted it ever since. Setting up this receiver was a breeze, I think it took 10min total and mainly because I took my time and poked around all of the menus. I am not an audiophile so I won't even pretend to judge the audio quality, but I can tell you that the upscaling features greatly improved the video quality and the way it can fill in two channel audio to play through all of the speakers is exactly what I wanted with my previous reciever. I have this connected to a home theatre PC (HTPC) and many of the movies that I play are only two channel. This receiver lets you see how many channels of audio are being sent to it and it allows you to see how many speakers it is sending the audio to; letting me pick an output setting that will utilize all of my speakers. Much of my video source content is only 720P but my TV is 4K so the receiver does a great job of upscaling the source content to look good on the TV. Nothing will be perfect mind you, but it does a good job at what it does. Source 1080P footage encoded with a quality codec really shines and looks like native 4K after the upscaling process. I am thinking about getting another one for the bedroom to replace an old Technics reciever. 5 |

I have a home theater where 3 of the seats have Buttkicker tactile transducers, for those earth quaking explosions etc. Tactile transducers require a lot of wattage from your amp, so a pro amp suited me best (lots of power, drive low ohms, cheaper per watt). However, since my home theater receiver only had the typical -10 dB output on the sub-woofer channel, I needed something to bring it up to the +4 dB required by the professional amp. This box is an affordable way to integrate professional audio equipment into your home theater. No fuss, just works. Just be careful when you now do the channel balancing, since you'll have three places to adjust the audio level, 1) the receiver, 2) the MB15b Promatch, and 3) the amplifiers input gain. 5 |

this works great with my wireless lav receiver that combines 2 channels of audio into a stereo output. This cable isolates the two channels so I can record the channels separately into a recorder. 5 |
